As the New Year approaches, major manufacturers are racing to ensure that players can get their hands on new toys before the holiday. You have new toys, and I have new cash. It’s a win-win situation.
Recently, Make Noise launched a product called MultiWAVE, an 8-channel dual wavetable oscillator that seamlessly integrates with synthesizer systems and Eurorack modular synthesizers.
The founder, Tony Rolando, stated that the operation is extremely simple; a set of knobs can drive 8 independent channels, each capable of outputting different audio waveforms, much like an octopus with eight legs working simultaneously without interference.

Hardcore configuration with hidden gems, easy for beginners to understand
Each channel contains two independent wavetable oscillators (A and B), each capable of loading its own dedicated wavetable. Frequency, modulation parameters, and wavetable position can be adjusted freely, without rigid rules.
Each wavetable contains 64 waveforms, and the module can store 8 sets of wavetable libraries, each with 8 wavetables, providing a vast library of sound materials. The MultiMod-driven low-frequency oscillator (LFO) is a significant contributor, allowing each oscillator to modulate parameters independently, resulting in a rich variety of tones across channels.
The diffusion and modulation distribution features are also very practical, allowing different timing and depth to be set between all voices, enabling the 8 channels to operate independently without interference. By turning the detune knob fully clockwise, it can transform into a harmonic oscillator, making it easy for beginners to achieve quick results without extra hassle.

Unlimited playability, monophonic can also become polyphonic
The MultiWAVE features output interfaces that can be directly connected to the audio inputs of two QXG modules. If used in conjunction with PoliMATHS, it can form the 8-channel core of a universal synthesizer system (NUSS), significantly enhancing its capabilities.
But that’s not all; it has a hidden skill that allows modulation distribution, span mode, diffusion, and accumulation to transform monophonic sequences into polyphonic trigger signals. All 8 channels can simultaneously produce tonal differentiation and evolution, and it’s not just a boast; it’s stated on their official website.
For musicians looking to experiment with something different, it also supports loading custom wavetables in WaveEdit format. All wavetable slots can be replaced with your own dedicated wavetable sets, creating a sound that is uniquely yours.

Pricing and Sales Information
The MultiWAVE oscillator is priced at $529 and is now available for pre-order. It is expected to start shipping later this month through December, so players eager to get their hands on it should set their alarms!
