According to reports from Electronic Enthusiasts (by Zhang Ying), on September 10, at the Semi-e Shenzhen International Semiconductor Exhibition in Hall 13, Unisoc showcased a variety of IoT, 5G chips, and edge AI chips, among which the INMO Go2 smart translation glasses powered by the W517 chip attracted the attention of reporters. During the trial, the clear display of translations in both English and Chinese was observed.The on-site staff indicated that the W517 utilizes a 12nm process technology and is equipped with a quad-core processor architecture (1×[email protected] + 3×[email protected]), achieving a perfect balance between performance and power consumption through intelligent scheduling. Its innovative stepless speed adjustment technology optimizes across four dimensions: SoC, modem, operating system, and storage, resulting in an overall power consumption reduction of 10% compared to competitors.
Notably, the W517 employs ultra-micro high-integration 3D SiP technology and advanced ePoP packaging, reducing the board area by 40% compared to the previous generation, providing terminal manufacturers with greater design freedom.According to the staff, this design allows the thickness of the temples in the INMO Air2 AR glasses to be reduced to just 6mm, resulting in an overall frame volume reduction of nearly 30%, significantly enhancing wearing comfort.The INMO Go2 smart translation glasses weigh 61 grams and utilize streaming simultaneous interpretation technology, supporting online translation in 40 languages and recognition of 90 accents. It also supports offline translation and can provide real-time subtitles on the screen while translating as one speaks.Additionally, a 5G eSIM tablet powered by the Unisoc T9100 chip platform was also showcased. This tablet was first unveiled in March this year at MWC 2025, in collaboration with China Unicom and TCL, marking the launch of the first domestic 5G tablet product VN300E that supports eSIM and integrates China Unicom’s Yuanjing large model.
This tablet features the Unisoc T9100 high-performance 5G SoC chip platform, which is built on an advanced 6nm process, includes an NPU module with 8 TOPS computing power, and has a maximum frequency of 2.7GHz, supporting 4G/5G cellular networks.The Unicom 5G eSIM tablet has a 12.2-inch ultra-high-definition screen, supporting three display modes: original color, color ink, and ink wash, allowing users to switch freely according to different scenarios, always caring for eye health. The VN300E 5G AI tablet integrates many advantages of eSIM technology, providing full-time and space connectivity capabilities, and is deeply adapted to 5G mobile private networks and Unicom cloud desktop applications, meeting users’ needs for office, study, and entertainment across multiple scenarios.It is reported that the T9100 is a high-performance, high-security, and AI-capable enhanced 5G SoC, strengthening GPU/ISP, integrating a 5G modem, and providing a high-performance, low-power, and high-security one-stop platform for mid-to-high-end tablets, government and enterprise security terminals, and AI education hardware.This single-chip solution includes an NPU unit, improving large model generation speed by 20% and reducing inference power consumption by 60%; through a heterogeneous distributed architecture, it can connect external acceleration chips, expanding computing power elasticity to 100 TOPS, compatible with over 30 mainstream large models, and has already been mass-produced in terminals such as the BBK AI learning machine.
