The first real-time control MCU based on Arm® Cortex®-M52 dual-core architecture from Extreme Sea—G32R501—was officially launched at the Extreme Sea Channel Partner Conference.This new series is based on advanced 40nm process technology, supports efficient dual-core collaboration, integrates high-performance perception, rich control peripherals, and a flexible peripheral interconnection system. It is a high-performance real-time control MCU product developed for high-end applications in scenarios such as new energy inverters, industrial automation, commercial power supplies, and new energy vehicles. It aims to address the design challenges of real-time control systems for higher efficiency, higher power density, higher precision, and higher reliability from the chip level, with applications covering photovoltaic/storage inverters, charging pile power modules, server power supplies, onboard OBC, UPS, servo controllers, robots, etc.

The G32R5 series features the latest Arm v8.1-M architecture designed Arm® Cortex®-M52 dual-core CPU, supporting homogeneous dual-core parallel operation, capable of simultaneously executing high-performance computing tasks and real-time control tasks, with a maximum operating frequency of 250MHz, providing real-time computing power comparable to 800MHz Cortex-M7 core products; it includes a single/double precision floating-point unit (FPU), supporting Arm HeliumTM technology, significantly enhancing advanced digital signal processing (DSP) capabilities and machine learning (ML) application performance, bringing AI computing power into lower-cost, lower-power application products; at the same time, by supporting custom data path CDE interfaces, it can expand the self-developed Zidian mathematical instruction extension unit, supporting various mathematical computation accelerations such as trigonometric functions, Fourier transforms, and complex mathematics at the instruction set level, greatly shortening mathematical computation time and reducing CPU access latency, thereby enhancing overall real-time performance and intelligence of the system.

The G32R501 supports a maximum 640KB Flash, which is divided into two independent storage units of 512KB and 128KB, supporting parallel programming and execution; additionally, the product integrates 128KB SRAM, supporting tightly coupled memory (TCM) to store real-time control core code, significantly improving operational efficiency; it also features a 6-channel DMA module that helps reduce CPU load and achieve more efficient data transfer.
