On November 26, Beijing time, NVIDIA rarely responded to market concerns about its dominance in the AI chip sector being threatened.
“We are pleased with Google’s success—they have made significant progress in the field of artificial intelligence, and we continue to supply to Google,” NVIDIA stated in a post on the X platform. “NVIDIA leads the industry by a generation—it is the only platform that can run all AI models anywhere computation is performed.”
Compared to ASICs designed specifically for certain AI frameworks or functions (such as Google’s TPU), NVIDIA claims to offer higher performance, versatility, and interchangeability.
Previously, reports indicated that NVIDIA’s major client Meta is considering adopting Google’s self-developed TPU in future data centers and renting Google Cloud chip resources starting next year.
