Question: How to fix incorrect readings on a multimeter
When using a multimeter to read voltage, you may notice that the voltage readings fluctuate wildly or are incorrect on a known voltage source. This is often a sign that the internal fuse has blown. At this point, you need to test the fuse for continuity and replace it with the recommended fuse as per the user manual.
If the fuse blows at a certain current setting, the test value in the series circuit being measured will not fluctuate at all. Please test the fuse for continuity again and replace it according to the user manual’s recommended fuse.
If replacing the fuse does not resolve the issue, you may need to purchase a new multimeter.
