KUKA Robot TCP/IP Connection EKI00006 Error

Error Effects:

  • Emergency stop of the track

  • Inputs for activated commands (robot movement, program start) are disabled.

Cause: Framework error in the XML file containing the connection configuration.

The XML file containing the connection configuration may be unreadable due to framework errors.

Ethernet KRL uses the XPath framework. The syntax specified by the framework must be strictly followed. For example, missing periods or structural elements are not allowed.

There are specifications for the writing of elements and attributes in the XML file (including uppercase and/or lowercase), which must be strictly adhered to.

For each Ethernet connection, an XML file must be configured. The name of the XML file is also the access key for KRL.

Method: Eliminate errors in the XML file.

Errors in the XML file must be eliminated.

1. Modify the XML file as needed.

2. If the XML file has been modified offline, copy it to the specified directory, overwriting the old XML file.

3. Restart the robot control system, performing a cold start and reloading the file.
