Yesterday afternoon, Huawei held the “Sailing of the Harmony Ecosystem” ceremony, introducing HarmonyOS NEXT, also known as the “Pure Blood Harmony” version. Since this was a developer-focused launch, the content announced primarily centered around developer-related ecosystem aspects.
It was reported that the Harmony ecosystem devices have rapidly grown to 800 million, the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview version is now open for applications, and the Harmony version will achieve six ultimate native experiences: native refinement, native applications, native smoothness, native security, native intelligence, and native connectivity. Currently, there are over 200 native applications, and the developer Beta program will start in the second quarter of this year, with the commercial version (which is also the version for ordinary users) to be released in the fourth quarter.
The official update video also showcased some interfaces of the Harmony version, such as a larger layout for the control center page.
For example, the weather app’s animations will be more immersive, and the temperature digits will be bolder.
The calendar page has also changed significantly, with a red and black color scheme, somewhat resembling the iPhone? However, the alarm clock interface and to-do list icons in the image use different colors, suggesting that various applications in the Harmony version may allow for customizable theme colors. Currently, the main buttons in Harmony 4 applications are mostly blue.

Additionally, the Samsung S24 series was just released yesterday, which adopts a dual-processor solution of Snapdragon and Exynos. Specifically, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy, which debuted with the Samsung S24 Ultra, compared to the 8 Gen 3 used in models like the Xiaomi 14, has a CPU super core Cortex-X4 frequency increased from 3.3GHz to 3.4GHz, and the Adreno 750 GPU frequency increased from 903MHz to 1000MHz.
