At Hubei Jingchu Humanoid Robot Co., Ltd., the research team gained in-depth insights into the R&D progress, technical challenges, and industrial applications of humanoid robots. The company representatives provided detailed information about their technological accumulation and talent needs in core modules such as servo drives, motion control, and environmental perception. Both parties engaged in deep discussions regarding vocational education in industrial robotics technology and intelligent robotics technology, as well as related professional directions such as the undergraduate program in Robotics Engineering at the National Open University. Currently, there is a significant demand for composite talents who possess a foundation in mechanical design and intelligent control, especially in roles such as robot debugging, fault diagnosis, and pre-sales and post-sales support. They also exchanged opinions on project-based teaching in robotics and targeted internships for students, aiming to build a seamless connection platform from “classroom learning” to “on-the-job practice.”

Subsequently, the research team visited the Baidu PaddlePaddle AI Empowerment Center. The center’s representatives systematically introduced the application scenarios of the Baidu PaddlePaddle deep learning platform in the field of intelligent manufacturing, including industrial quality inspection image recognition, intelligent production line data modeling, and the development of autonomous decision-making algorithms for robots. They demonstrated how intelligent solutions based on the PaddlePaddle platform can enhance production efficiency and product quality. In response to the needs of the School of Mechanical Engineering for professional development, the center’s technical team focused on interpreting the integration paths of artificial intelligence technology with traditional mechanical disciplines, proposing to leverage the open-source resources and training systems of the PaddlePaddle platform to assist the school in implementing interdisciplinary teaching reforms in “Artificial Intelligence + Mechanical Engineering.”
