With the wave of electrification and intelligence in automobiles, along with the implementation of mandatory standards in related countries, the importance of functional safety has become increasingly prominent.
For manufacturers, new models must pass functional safety validation for the steering system, and in the future, with the introduction of GB21670, validation for the braking system will also be required. For suppliers, the verification and confirmation of functional safety are growing exponentially. However, currently, the relevant standards are quite abstract, and the test cases are not uniform. Some engineers are relatively unfamiliar with functional safety. Therefore, this course focuses on the chassis domain, providing a brief overview of the understanding of functional safety and functional safety validation for the whole vehicle.
