In recent years, the Taixing Community of Zhaojun Street has adhered to the core of party building leadership, with the main line of strengthening the awareness of the Chinese national community, closely focusing on the key “small matters” of the people’s clothing, food, housing, and transportation, and constructing a beautiful life picture of cohabitation, co-learning, co-construction, sharing, co-working, and co-happiness among various ethnic groups through the “Five Micro Work Method”.
By embedding positions, we gather the value consensus of various ethnic groups. The design of the Party-Mass Service Center, Party-Mass Service Stations, and Neighborly Life Squares incorporates Chinese cultural symbols and multi-ethnic cultural elements, creating a visual atmosphere of “diversity and unity”. The community has established the “Pomegranate Seed” window, which integrates functions such as policy consultation, assistance, and legal aid, becoming a shared hub that various ethnic groups can “walk into and use”. At the same time, this year, the community has utilized traditional festivals such as the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival to carry out various activities and themed presentations on “Feeling Grateful to the Party, Listening to the Party, and Following the Party” in various activity rooms, encouraging residents to actively participate in the preparation of activities, enhancing their understanding of different ethnic cultures, breaking cultural barriers, and strengthening the recognition of community as “you are in me, and I am in you” through spatial interaction.

By embedding services, we activate the centripetal force of community governance. The community has established a grassroots governance “iron triangle” mechanism of “grid workers + building leaders + unit leaders” to promptly collect and address the demands of various ethnic groups. Focusing on the three major groups in the area: the elderly, children, and women, the community collaborates with social organizations to carry out “embedded” refined services. Free physiotherapy services are provided for residents over 60 years old to meet their health needs; free hand-weaving skill training is offered to low-income women and homemakers in the area, resulting in 13 individuals achieving “order-based” employment and increased income; for school-age children and preschoolers, “Pomegranate” reading clubs and “Early Education into the Community, Cultivating Pomegranate Kids” series courses are conducted, fostering a stronger community spirit through shared reading, sharing, and co-activity, injecting new momentum into the modernization of grassroots governance and continuously enhancing the sense of belonging and identity of various ethnic groups towards the community.

By embedding culture, we enrich the shared spiritual home. The vitality of community culture lies in the joint participation and creation of residents. Based on the actual situation of the community, activities themed on strengthening the awareness of the Chinese national community are carried out at key time nodes such as “Our Festival”, “National Unity and Progress Promotion Month”, and “Pomegranate Day”, including activities like “Reunion Friends’ Fan”, “Lacquer Meets New Spring Welcoming the New Year”, “Co-painting Grain Paintings to Convey National Feelings” on Pomegranate Day, “Chinese Nation as One Family, Reunion and Sharing Neighborly Banquet” during National Unity and Progress Promotion Month, and “Zongzi Fragrance Transmits Feelings, Moxa Essence Nourishes Children’s Hearts” during the Dragon Boat Festival, allowing residents to transform from bystanders to participants in construction, enriching the cultural life of various ethnic groups and promoting exchanges and integration among all ethnicities, making the community a true spiritual fertile ground that nourishes the soul.

The three “embedded” services of the Taixing Community of Zhaojun Street are like three “golden keys” that open the door to innovation in community governance. When positions are embedded in life, services are embedded in emotions, and culture is embedded in details, the community becomes a happy home filled with warmth and humanity, and the various ethnic groups in the area also reap happiness through co-construction and sharing.
