Yushutech’s Wang Xingxing: AI Will Empower Robots to Truly Understand the World in the Next Decade

Yushutech's Wang Xingxing: AI Will Empower Robots to Truly Understand the World in the Next Decade

On the stage of the 2025 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, 16 Yushutech H1 humanoid robots donned floral coats and held red silk, accurately replicating the essence of the Yangge dance in the program “Yang BOT” directed by Zhang Yimou. Their fluid movements, such as hand gestures and leg kicks, allowed global audiences to witness the hardcore strength of Chinese robotics technology. This is just the beginning of robots entering our lives.

On November 16, Yushutech founder and CEO Wang Xingxing attended the 2025 Artificial Intelligence + Conference and delivered a speech. He presented a new vision, which he had expressed a year ago:

In the next decade, scenarios will drive robots to truly ‘integrate into life’.

From the prototypes in laboratories ten years ago to the current diverse layout covering industry, elderly care, and households, the focus of this technological revolution has shifted from “technological breakthroughs” to “human-centered scenario implementation”.

Ten Years of Iteration: The Evolution from “Being Active” to “Being Useful”

Wang Xingxing recalled on stage:

In 2013, while still a student, he conceived a low-cost, high-performance robot solution;

In 2016, when he founded Yushutech with a self-made Xdog robotic dog prototype, robots were still merely “beautiful exhibits for viewing in laboratories”.

Regarding the next decade, Wang Xingxing provided a clearer perspective:

“If the past decade was about ‘germination and exploration’, then our next decade is destined to be about ‘growth and blooming’, where robots transition from ‘being able to move’ to ‘being able to do things’, from ‘industry tools’ to ‘life partners’.”

At the same time, he stated that this transformation is driven by the rapid growth of AI technology’s ability to understand the world.

“In the next decade, AI technology will empower robots with the true ability to ‘understand the world’.”

The humanoid robots developed by Yushutech can currently perform the vast majority of work actions:

Offline pre-learning; real-time imitation and replication;significant improvement in action intelligence

This August, the team won multiple championships, reflecting the maturity of their technology.

Integrating into Life in China: Three Major Scenarios Emerge First

Looking to the future, Wang Xingxing predicts:Scenario demand will determine the speed of robot adoption.

Industrial Production Lines: Human-Robot Collaboration, Liberating Creativity

“Workers only need to give simple instructions, and robots can autonomously complete material handling and precision assembly, freeing people from repetitive labor.”

Elderly Care Services: Technology Protecting the ‘Silver-Haired Era’

“Small nursing robots will visit to measure blood pressure, remind medication, and provide companionship for elderly individuals living alone, filling the gap in elderly care personnel.”

Home Scenarios: All-Purpose Partners Entering Ordinary Households

“Household robots will take on tasks such as cleaning, caregiving, and assisting with learning, becoming ‘all-purpose helpers’ for every family.”

Robots are no longer just production tools but extensions of public service and family member roles.

Building an Ecosystem Together:Global Collaboration Unlocking the Future of the Industry

“The robotics industry is not a battlefield for lone warriors; it requires the world to unite as one.” Wang Xingxing’s call during his speech is also the guiding principle of Yushutech:

Open Sharing: Building a technologyexchange platform, sharing some core R&D results, lowering the innovation threshold for the industry, allowing more entrepreneurs to focus on scenario innovation rather than reinventing the wheel;

Standard Co-Creation: Collaborating with global partners to establish ethical and safety standards for robots, clarifying technical boundaries, and ensuring that robots always develop in a ‘benevolent’ direction;

Collaborative Innovation: Working with upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain, from hardware components to software algorithms, from scenario demands to practical applications, forming a virtuous cycle that promotes rapid progress in the entire industry.

In his view, open-source collaboration + global rules will be the decisive factor in determining who can enter the era of robotics.

We firmly believe that cooperation promotes faster development in the industry than competition.

The Ten-Year Commitment: Let Technology Carry Warmth

Every technological advancement ultimately returns to human life itself. When robots truly understand the world and can perform ‘meaningful tasks’, they will move from the production line to the living room, from the exhibition stage to our side.

In the past decade, we have seen its starting point; in the next decade, we may witness its peak. In his view, open-source collaboration + global rules will be the decisive factor in determining who can enter the era of robotics.

Finally, Wang Xingxing reiterated that the next decade for robots is a vision of “empowering life and society”.

In the next decade, we need to work together to build an ecological ‘circle of friends’. In Wang Xingxing’s view, the robotics industry has never been a solo endeavor for one company; it requires close cooperation with the open-source community to accelerate the sharing of technological achievements and reduce the innovation costs across the industry.

“We need to work with global partners to establish and improve ethical and safety standards for robots, ensuring that technology always develops in a ‘benevolent’ direction.”

In his view, “Only when the whole world unites as one can robotics technology break through the critical point faster and elevate human civilization to a new level.”
