According to CCTV News, in the first three quarters of this year, the added value of high-tech manufacturing industries above designated size in China increased by 9.6% year-on-year, which is 3.4 percentage points faster than the average industrial growth rate. The contribution rate of high-tech manufacturing industries above designated size to the overall industrial growth was 24.7%.
In the first three quarters, the production of intelligent drones, industrial robots, 3D printing equipment, and satellite navigation receivers increased by 59.9%, 29.8%, 40.5%, and 28.5%, respectively. The production of green equipment such as wind turbines, nuclear power generators, and solar cells increased by 72.4%, 38.9%, and 14%, respectively.
Reports indicate that the rapid growth in robot production is driven by strong demand from downstream manufacturing industries. Data shows that in September this year, the national industrial robot production reached 76,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%.
