Self-Developed Circuit Board Opens New Path for Maintenance

Recently, our mine’s self-developed voice circuit board has broken the technical barrier that prevented the free recording of voice warning messages in the mine, enabling personalized recording of various voice warning messages, effectively enhancing the safety of the mine.

Voice warnings are an important technical means for preventing safety accidents in mines. Previously, the content broadcasted by the voice warning devices used underground was preset by the manufacturer. When the usage location changed, the mine could not change the voice information on its own and had to pay a certain fee to the manufacturer for modifications. Additionally, due to some warning devices being discontinued, after-sales service was difficult to guarantee, leading to some fully functional warning devices being unusable, which resulted in a certain degree of resource waste.

With a firm belief in serving the mine with technology, Zhang Chenguang, the head of the Morning Light Skills Master Studio, took the on-site challenges as an innovative topic and conceived the idea of independently designing a circuit board to allow the mine to freely record warning voices. To achieve this, he delved into the electronic circuit principles of voice recording during his busy work hours, used drawing software to create the schematic, and after countless debugging and optimization, he finally overcame the technical difficulties and developed a circuit board capable of changing voice information.

Despite its palm-sized dimensions, the voice circuit board embodies nearly half a year of Zhang Chenguang’s hard work. Since electronic circuit design is a “delicate task,” it allows no room for error. Whether designing the schematic, checking circuit connections, verifying logical relationships, or coordinating the production of the circuit board and soldering components, he never overlooked any detail to ensure that no errors or omissions occurred.

During that time, the microscope in the master studio became his closest companion, often accompanying him late into the night as he soldered resistors, capacitors, and every component, meticulously checking each solder joint to eliminate issues like cold soldering and short circuits, ensuring the circuit board met usage requirements. He also printed operation instructions on the circuit board, transforming the difficult and complex exploration process into simple operations at the fingertips, greatly facilitating the use for technicians.

With the voice circuit board, technicians can remove the voice chip from underground without changing the electrical principle structure, modify the voice information on the surface, saving costs for changing the voice and revitalizing some idle resources. This voice circuit board also received the “New Technology, New Process, and New Equipment” naming award from our mine for 2024.

Speaking of the application of the “Four New” technologies, Zhang Chenguang proudly stated: “In the past, the development of circuit boards mainly relied on high-tech enterprises, but now our coal mine electricians also possess the technical capability to develop simple circuit boards. This not only solves the problem of changing voice content but also opens a new path for the mine to independently address electromechanical faults.”
