At the recently concluded 2025 Wenxin Open Source Innovation Competition – Shenzhen Station, Baidu, in collaboration with hardware partner Espressif Technology, held a technical workshop integrating software and hardware, promoting the application of large models on edge hardware. This event focused on “Reconstructing Imagination in Hardware.”
As a leading provider of IoT solutions, Espressif Technology has deepened its collaboration with the Wenxin large model to promote the application of large model capabilities on highly integrated microcontrollers like the ESP32, bringing a technically inspiring feast to AIoT developers.
Several teams that stood out in the Wenxin Open Source Innovation Competition showcased their innovative and practical project proposals:

“Blind Children’s Education Public Welfare Project” aims to help blind children perceive the world, using technology to convey humanistic care.

“Multimodal Intelligent Research Report Agent” demonstrated how AI can reshape rigorous financial information processing and decision-making processes.

“Programmer’s Intelligent Health and Efficiency Assistant” focuses on the developer community itself, using AI to safeguard health and enhance efficiency.

“Cultural Relic Recognition Intelligent Assistant” allows silent cultural relics to “speak” from the perspective of AI, aiding cultural heritage preservation.

“RhythmAI: Sound Follows Motion, Meaning Arises from the Heart” is an intelligent video scoring system based on the Wenxin large model, making creative expression more emotional.

In the practical session, Li Zan, a technical expert from Wenxin Paddle, provided hands-on explanations and typical case sharing on the Wenxin large model and Espressif ESP32. Under the guidance of the expert, developers got hands-on experience in deploying cutting-edge AI capabilities on a single chip using the highly integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth modules, and rich peripheral interfaces of the ESP32, enabling rapid prototyping for scenarios such as intelligent voice interaction and image recognition.
