Recently, the Milk-V Duo RISC-V architecture development board has successfully become compatible with the PinPong open-source hardware programming system from Shanghai DFRobot, and it has successfully adapted to many sensors and modules under DFRobot.

“Milk-V Duo” is a microprocessor unit (MPU) based on the CV1800B processor, capable of running operating systems based on LINUX and RTOS. The PinPong library is a Python library for controlling open-source hardware mainboards developed by DFRobot. With the help of the PinPong library, programming various common open-source hardware using unified Python code has been achieved. The Milk-V Duo, as a RISC-V architecture-based development board, meets the open-source hardware compatibility requirements.

This successful adaptation signifies that the Milk-V Duo development board now possesses a rich variety of application scenarios, having fully adapted to various sensing devices in its use cases, such as DFRobot Gravity series digital sensors, analog sensors, and I2C sensors. In the future, Milk-V will continue to focus on developing hardware processors based on the RISC-V architecture and fully expand its application scenarios, “continuing to contribute to the development of the RISC-V ecosystem and co-create the future with partners.”
