Keil5 Installation Instructions Tutorial
Currently, the latest version released on the Keil official website is uVision 5 KEIL. The version we are using is a cracked version, intended for educational use only.
If you are doing commercial development, please purchase the official version to receive more technical support from the original Keil software manufacturer.
The installation of Keil5 has slightly changed compared to Keil4, with the addition of a pack installation. Just follow the steps below, and there should be no issues.
1. Install the software as follows: double-click to open mdk515.exe installation program.
2. Then click “Next >>”.
3. Select “I agree to all the terms of ……”, then click “Next >>”.
4. Set the installation path for the software. It is recommended not to change the installation path and use the default installation path. If you need to change it, the installation path cannot contain Chinese characters, otherwise, it may not install successfully. Then click “Next >>”.
5. Enter the relevant information (just input a few letters), then click “Next >>”.
6. During the installation process, wait a few more minutes. After the installation is complete, uncheck the box, and then click “Finish >>”.
7. After installation, the Pack interface will pop up. Online updating of the Pack often fails, click “OK” to close it, and install the Pack directly after cracking.
8. Next, crack the software. Open the “crack tool” software, select “Target” to ARM.
9. Open the just installed keil5 software. For Win7 and above systems, right-click the software icon and select “run as administrator” for this software.
After opening, click the “File” menu, select “License Management…” option to open the License Manager.
10. Copy the CID code to the crack tool, click “Generate” in the crack tool to generate the registration code.
11. Copy the generated registration code to “License Management…” in the “NEW License ID Code（LIC）” field.
12. After copying, click “Add LIC”, and the crack will be completed.
13. If the crack is unsuccessful, it will display as follows:
Please right-click the software, select “run as administrator” to open the software, and repeat the cracking steps above.
14. Start installing the STM32 Pack, here using the STM32F0 series as a demonstration. Open the downloaded “STM32 Pack” folder, double-click the microcontroller model you need to install, and click “Next >>” directly.
15. After the Pack installation, it will prompt “Do you want to load the installed Pack?”, click “Yes”, so that you can select the required microcontroller when creating a new project.
16. The materials provided are commonly used Pack packages in the market. If the Pack package cannot be used, or if you do not have the required microcontroller model, you can go to the official website to download it. If there are many requests in the background, we may organize and share this part separately later.
Keil5 and Keil4 have different installation and cracking processes, but Keil5 is much more powerful than Keil4, making it a great choice for students who are starting to learn 32-bit microcontrollers after getting familiar with the 51 microcontroller.
