Purpose of Invention: To solve the problem of automatic water dispensers on the market that cannot adapt to different containers and to prevent hot water from splashing and causing burns.
Basic Idea: This project is completed using a laser tube, infrared sensing module, ultrasonic distance measuring module, smart controller, and solenoid valve. The laser tube measures the cup height, while the ultrasonic sensor measures the water level. The data from both is sent to the microcontroller for processing to achieve our desired goal (we designed it to stop water flow 2cm from the cup rim; of course, if you feel this is too much, you can simply move the cup away without needing to turn off the switch like a regular water dispenser).
Instructions for Use: When placing the water cup, it is necessary to align the cup with the water outlet; otherwise, the infrared light will not detect the cup, and the microcontroller will not activate the solenoid valve, preventing water from flowing out. This is clearly done to avoid splashing during the water filling process, effectively preventing burns.
Promotion Scope and Prospects: This automatic induction water dispenser can be used in homes and office spaces, eliminating the need for switch operation and avoiding the need for someone to wait by the dispenser while filling water.
