Core Principle
Simplifying Complexity, Technology “Sensing” Water Quality
Organic carbon, phenols, alcohols, and benzene in water have a strong absorption effect on specific wavelengths of ultraviolet light (UV). The higher the concentration of organic matter, the more ultraviolet light is absorbed. The COD sensor acts like a pair of keen “eyes,” emitting ultraviolet light and detecting the degree of attenuation after it passes through the water sample. Through an intelligent algorithm model, it can instantly calculate the COD value of the water sample without consuming any chemical reagents.
