Project Name: Arbitrary Warm Pad #Jialichuang Electric Heating Film
Project Author:shelton2.0
Introduction
As the weather gets colder,

I used a free PCB + electric heating film to make a heating pad~~

It can warm hands, feet, and even the stomach
Making one for my roommate is also heartwarming~~ just kidding
01Features & Highlights
-
Fluffy fabric, one side is skin-friendly, the other side has a pocket for hands and feet
-
Temperature adjustable: Room temperature – 60℃ adjustable
-
Temperature control via knob adjustment, auto heating after 3 seconds of inactivity
-
Display screen shows real-time current temperature and target temperature
-
Can be powered by a power bank, 10000mAh power bank, theoretically lasts 3-5 hours
-
If there is no operation for 10 minutes, the heating pad automatically shuts off and needs to be manually restarted
Actual usage effect is as follows
Can accurately adjust temperature

Once the temperature is set, you can put your hands/feet inside~
I can’t imagine how warm it will be when I set it to 40 degrees in this pocket
The biggest highlight of the design is that it can dissipate heat

The author of the heating pad designed 2 PCBs for it, the design diagram is as follows.

Hardware Parameters
-
Main Control Chip: STM32F103, responsible for signal acquisition, computation, temperature control, and peripheral driving.
-
EC11 knob sets the desired temperature, EC11 uses external interrupts and level readings to determine clockwise and counterclockwise rotation;
-
10W heating PI film, uses MOS with PWM to control heating power output;
-
The heating part uses PID temperature control adjustment, as the selected power is relatively small, it only starts to reduce power output when the temperature is 2 degrees away from the set temperature;
-
The power section has a voltage trickle from the power bank or some chargers to 12V voltage, AMS steps down to 3.3V to power the microcontroller, the microcontroller uses LDO to step down to the required voltage;
-
Enables timer counting, if there is no other operation for 10 minutes, it assumes the user has fallen asleep, and the heating pad shuts off output.
