Technique Three: Blending Scene Writing + Feelings

Image + Verb + ing, + Feelings:

Sentence Structure One:(Inanimate Subject) a ripple of + Emotion Noun ran through sb’s heart; a flood of + Emotion Noun welled up in sb.

The icy wind howling, a ripple of tension ran through his heart.

Example: It got dark.
