
Introduction
With the rapid development of the smart manufacturing industry, industrial PC control technology, as one of the core technologies of smart manufacturing, is expanding its application scope. To meet the demand for qualified teachers in smart manufacturing programs at universities and vocational colleges, a training course titled “First Smart Manufacturing Teacher Training Course (Industrial PC Control Technology and Applications)” was successfully held from January 15 to 17, 2025, organized by the Intelligent Manufacturing College of Shunde Vocational and Technical College. This training course was co-hosted by the China Mechatronics Technology Application Association, Beckhoff Automation (China) Co., Ltd., and Shunde Vocational and Technical College, aiming to enhance the professional level of teachers in the field of smart manufacturing and promote the educational development of industrial PC control technology and applications.The training course invited several industry experts and senior engineers as instructors, who, with their rich theoretical knowledge and practical experience, provided the participating teachers with engaging course content. The training curriculum was diverse, covering various aspects of industrial PC control technology, including basic theory, programming and debugging, fault diagnosis, and maintenance. Through theoretical explanations, case analyses, and various teaching methods, the participating teachers were able to comprehensively grasp the key points of industrial PC control technology and applications.A total of 28 teachers from universities and vocational colleges across the country participated in this training course, and they gained a lot from three days of intensive learning. During the training, the participating teachers actively engaged in classroom discussions, communicated deeply with the instructors, and shared teaching experiences and insights, creating a positive learning atmosphere. Through this training, the participating teachers not only enhanced their professional competence but also established a broad network for communication and collaboration, providing strong support for their future teaching work.The successful holding of this training course has received widespread attention and praise. It not only provides strong support for the construction of the teacher team in the field of smart manufacturing but also offers valuable references for the innovation and development of school-enterprise cooperation models. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, the education of smart manufacturing in our country will usher in a brighter future.
