Recently, the new Chery Fengyun T8 C-DM completed its declaration at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This vehicle is a minor facelift model, featuring subtle adjustments to its exterior and a new battery pack that optimizes its range, achieving a pure electric range of 100 kilometers under WLTC conditions.
The new vehicle retains a closed grille design at the front, upgraded to a grid layout that presents a delicate sense of layering under lighting, significantly enhancing visual recognition. The lower bumper area features a completely new design, with vertically oriented air intakes seamlessly integrated with black decorative panels, creating a continuous shape. This, combined with sharp lines, not only reinforces a sporty atmosphere but also gives the front end a more impactful visual presence.
The side profile is simple and smooth, with the retention of hidden door handles effectively reducing wind resistance. The combination of black wheel arches and five-spoke sporty wheels creates a youthful and fashionable stance. The changes at the rear are particularly noticeable, with the roof spoiler and embedded high-mounted brake light enhancing aerodynamic performance. The taillights have been upgraded to a progressively sized three-dimensional shape, which, when lit, showcases a rich sense of layering, significantly improving the refinement compared to the previous model.
The core upgrade of the new vehicle focuses on the battery pack, which has been replaced with a new lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 19.527 kWh. Under WLTC conditions, the pure electric range reaches 100 kilometers, allowing for “zero fuel consumption” during daily commutes and effectively reducing fuel consumption during long-distance travel.
The power system still features a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 115 kW, matched with a mature hybrid transmission. This setup ensures smooth and quiet operation at low speeds while providing ample power reserves at high speeds, balancing economy and driving experience.
