On November 22, reporters learned that,
as of now,
the Nanchang community embedded sports venue project
has entered the final sprint phase,
with an overall completion rate of 95%,
and is expected to be fully completed and delivered by the end of November.
According to reports,
to continuously optimize the layout of high-quality public sports resources,
and to meet the fitness needs of citizens nearby,
this year,
our city has built one community embedded sports venue each in
Donghu District, Xihu District,
Qingshanhu District, Qinyunpu District,
Nanchang High-tech Zone, Xinjian District, Nanchang Economic Development Zone,
Wanli Management Bureau, and Nanchang County.
Each venue is precisely located to utilize “corner lots” and other idle or inefficient spaces, with individual designs following the principle of “one venue, one plan,” integrating local traditional culture and surrounding architectural styles into the planning and design, maximizing the outreach to nearby residents, allowing more people to enjoy the convenience of sports within walking distance. The project flexibly plans outdoor sports spaces based on the actual land area of each venue, configuring five-a-side football fields, standard basketball courts, pickleball courts, and table tennis courts to meet the diverse fitness needs of different groups.
As the construction progresses, each venue showcases various highlights, with clear progress. The Donghu District venue has been basically completed, with all facilities meeting delivery standards, and is about to meet the public; the Nanchang High-tech Zone venue is in the final stages of curtain wall work, with the building’s appearance taking shape, and staff are meticulously handling details to ensure both appearance and functionality; the Nanchang County venue has entered the final stage of indoor decoration, with the installation of sports equipment officially starting this week, further enhancing the venue’s functionality; the Wanli venue and Nanchang Economic Development Zone venue have both entered the finishing stages, with the construction of supporting facilities nearing completion, and the overall appearance is becoming clear; the Xinjian District venue has begun installing various sports equipment, with the initial form of professional sports fields gradually emerging.
Once the Nanchang community embedded sports venue project is completed,
it will break the traditional model of sports venues being “far from the community,”
bringing professional sports fields directly to residents’ “doorsteps,”
allowing the public to participate in sports activities just by going downstairs,
truly promoting the concept of national fitness to take root,
and helping to create a “15-minute fitness circle.”
