Recently, a group of “god-like players” has appeared in ICC raids—they operate with precision like AI, maneuver with such finesse that they seem unreal, and their healing and DPS outputs are astonishingly stable. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that these are not real players at all, but rather fully automated cheats controlling the gameplay! These cheats have evolved to intelligently respond to various mechanics in ICC: DPS will automatically stop during the curse phase, healers can accurately apply marks, and even dodging skills is more fluid than manual players. No wonder some “grinders” can operate dozens of healing accounts simultaneously, running ICC seven or eight times a day without a break—they have long been using the power of technology to “farm”!

The operational logic of these automation scripts is quite formulaic:fixed skill rotation + mechanism response templates. For example, when fighting the Professor, they automatically switch to green soft, when facing the Council, they automatically change weapons, and when battling the Lich King, they automatically run from the black water. This highly repetitive behavior pattern should theoretically be easily identifiable by backend data—which normal player can guarantee that their positioning and skill release intervals are accurate to the millisecond in every battle? Even more absurdly, some cheat accounts don’t even change their gear, using the same setup to clear all bosses, this kind of “one-size-fits-all” operation is simply a provocation to the detection system.

The environment in ICC raids has become increasingly distorted:manual players are struggling to compete against robots, and raid leaders prefer to group these “perpetual motion machines” instead. Over time, normal players are either forced to join the tech camp or simply go AFK. It’s important to remember that the core enjoyment of World of Warcraft lies in the cooperation and competition between players; if even the dungeons turn into a programmatic duel between robots, what’s the difference from playing a single-player game with cheats? It’s time for the official servers to showcase real technology—increase detection efforts, and ban those who should be banned, to restore a clean gaming environment for players. After all, it will be too late to ban once all the players have left!
