Recently, Ventec International Group, a global leader in PCB substrate supply, officially announced an investment of approximately $17 million to establish a new PCB material manufacturing plant in Ayutthaya, Thailand. This move not only demonstrates Ventec’s strong confidence in the Southeast Asian market but also aligns with the accelerating development trend of the regional electronics and semiconductor supply chain. It is reported that the project will cover an area of approximately 8.4 acres and will be implemented in two phases. The first phase is expected to achieve a production capacity of 150,000 substrates per month, with plans to gradually expand capacity to meet the growing market demand. Although this plant is not a traditional semiconductor wafer fab, the production process of PCB substrates requires extremely high standards for cleanliness, contamination control, and stable temperature and humidity. Therefore, Ventec will fully introduce clean environments and advanced manufacturing process standards during construction to ensure that product quality meets international top-tier levels.Ventec’s decision to invest in Thailand is based on multiple considerations. As an important electronic manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, Thailand has made significant progress in the electronics and semiconductor industry in recent years, boasting a complete industrial chain and advantageous geographical location that can effectively radiate the entire Southeast Asian market. Additionally, the Thai government’s strong support for the electronics manufacturing industry, along with its relatively stable political environment and abundant labor resources, provides strong assurance for Ventec’s investment.Industry insiders point out that the establishment of Ventec’s factory in Thailand will have a positive impact on the regional electronics industry. On one hand, it will effectively enhance Thailand’s self-sufficiency in PCB materials, reducing dependence on imported raw materials and further optimizing the regional supply chain. On the other hand, the project will also provide more efficient and stable supply support for semiconductor packaging, PCB processing, and related downstream industries, helping to boost Thailand’s and Southeast Asia’s competitiveness in the global electronics manufacturing industry.Jason Chung, CEO of Ventec International Group, stated: “With the rapid development of the electronics industry in Southeast Asia, especially in the consumer electronics, industrial, and automotive sectors, the demand for PCB materials continues to grow. We believe that building a new factory in Thailand will further consolidate our position in the global supply chain and provide higher quality and more reliable products and services to our global customers.”According to the plan, construction of the Ventec Thailand factory is set to officially commence in the second quarter of 2025, with full production expected to be achieved in the first quarter of 2026. At that time, this modern PCB material manufacturing plant will become another important strategic foothold for Ventec in its global layout, injecting new vitality into the development of the regional electronics industry.
