On September 20, the“Smart Manufacturing World: Creating a Better Future” themed2025 New Energy Vehicle Industry Cluster Construction Conference was officially opened in Hefei, Anhui Province. The conference was chaired by Academician Zhong Zhihua, the Director of the Provincial New Energy Vehicle Industry Cluster Construction Strategic Advisory Committee, with participation from several leaders including Governor Wang Qingxian and Vice Governor Zhang Shuguang. Strategic advisory committee members such as Shu Gequn, Lu Bingheng, Chen Xuedong, Mao Xinping, Zhu Meifang, and An Tiecheng, along with 17 experts, provided strategic consulting opinions on key development directions for the automotive industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan, including collaboration between manufacturers and suppliers, technology research and development, talent cultivation, brand building, and safety performance.
Governor Wang Qingxian emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Anhui, to carry out the central government’s deployment for the quality improvement and upgrading of key industries, and to adhere to innovation as a strength, promoting large-scale development through strong capabilities, gathering wisdom from all parties, and creating an internationally influential innovation center for smart automotive technology and industry.

During this conference,Xincheng Wuxian, Jianghuai Automobile, Anhui Automotive Innovation Center, and Aoyikes jointly tackled the project “Research and Development and Industrialization of Automotive-grade Chips Based on RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture” which was successfully signed. This project addresses the significant strategic needs for the intelligent upgrade of new energy vehicles and the safety and controllability of the automotive chip industry chain, focusing on the “bottleneck” issues faced by RISC-V automotive-grade MCU chips, such as the fragmentation of the technical ecosystem, the lack of functional safety verification systems, and the lag in the development of high functional safety IP cores, aiming to build a self-controllable and competitive RISC-V automotive-grade MCU chip industry chain and supply chain, promoting the high-quality development of China’s automotive chip industry.

Xincheng Wuxian adheres to the model of “scene-driven + ecological collaboration”, insisting on innovation as the foundation,committed to reconstructing the innovative rhythm of the automotive chip industry chain, RISC-V chip companies need to deeply bind with vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers for scene customization and refinement.
