In November last year, TSMC had issued a notice to suspend advanced process foundry services for AI chip companies in mainland China at 7nm and below. Following this, rumors emerged that Samsung’s foundry division had also suspended related foundry services for mainland customers. However, this rumor has recently been clarified. Just yesterday, according to media reports, Rockchip Electronics issued a statement refuting the claim that “Samsung’s foundry has suspended all business in China,” emphasizing that the various products developed in collaboration with Samsung are progressing normally.
As a leading enterprise in AIoT chip design in China, Rockchip’s performance has also attracted significant market attention. The company expects to achieve an annual revenue of 3.1 billion to 3.15 billion yuan in 2024, representing a year-on-year growth of 45.23% to 47.57%; and a net profit attributable to the parent company of 550 million to 630 million yuan, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 307.75% to 367.06%.
According to media reports, Rockchip is leveraging its AIoT chip “V-Shape Formation” strategy, led by its flagship chip RK3588, to promote a multi-layered product portfolio that meets different needs, thereby continuously increasing market share across multiple AIoT product lines, especially in automotive electronics, machine vision, and industrial applications. Additionally, AIoT computing platforms represented by RK3588, RK356X, and RV11 series have also achieved rapid growth.
