The main components of the differential pressure sensor assembly are: pressure sensor, differential pressure sensor, and differential pressure sensor housing.
Pressure Sensor: Measures the intake pressure of the engine.
The differential pressure sensor operates on the principle of measuring the difference in pressure before and after a flow restriction (orifice plate) to determine the intake flow rate. This method is based on the Venturi principle, where, within a certain flow range, the flow velocity through the orifice plate has a linear relationship with the differential pressure across the orifice plate. By detecting the differential pressure, the flow area can be calculated to obtain the intake flow rate.
