While some business owners are “busy shooting short videos,” others are quietly waiting for the right moment, hoping to “survive.” This issue’s popular chip model identification helps everyone discover which trending models have seen price surges and which have dropped significantly. NO.1 Automotive chips are making a comeback
DS90UB Series: “Price” is rising
TI’s two similar automotive-grade chips have recently surged in popularity, with prices rising significantly.
DS90UB954TRGZRQ1 has risen to over 500 yuan, reportedly only costing over 60 yuan in June.
DS90UB947TRGCRQ1 has risen to around 120 yuan, with a normal price of less than 50 yuan.

DS90UB954-Q1 is a TI automotive-grade interface product suitable for 2MP/60fps cameras and radar, used in automotive ADAS, safety and monitoring, industrial and medical imaging; DS90UB947-Q1 is also a TI automotive-grade interface product used in automotive infotainment and safety monitoring cameras.

Zosi Automotive Research has disassembled and analyzed Tesla’s AP3.0 (FSD version) domain controller, which uses three TI interface chips—FPD-LINK, which are deserializing chips. This includes two DS90UB960 chips, with DS90UB960 having four lanes, while DS90UB954 is a simplified version with two lanes. It is reported that deserializing chips are typically paired, with the serializing generally inside the camera and the deserializing on the controller PCB.
According to DPE, the DS90UB series, including 934/949/954, is currently in severe shortage in the market, with suppliers seeing high demand from Chinese automotive customers. The spot market reflects that this series has become slightly tight, leading to price increases.

NO.2 Price and popularity soar
VNQ7050AJTR: Price remains strong
Since the beginning of this year, the price of VNQ7050AJTR has surged several times, currently maintaining a strong price despite a significant drop in popularity, rising from around 7 yuan to about 500 yuan.

This is an ST automotive smart power IC—a four-channel high-side driver chip used for all types of automotive resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads or specifically for automotive signal lights.
The real inventory is low, which may be the reason for the price not dropping.

NO.3 A certain trending model’s retreat
TPS53513RVER:
Still 30 times the normal price
After previously plummeting to 600 yuan, the price of TPS53513RVER has continued to drop to around 140 yuan, but remains far from the normal price.

TPS53513RVER is a communication power management IC (small size synchronous buck converter), with a normal price of about 4.5 yuan. This chip is easy to use, with a minimal number of external components, suitable for power systems with space constraints. It is used in servers and cloud computing point of load (POL), broadband, network interconnect, and fiber optic communication infrastructure, as well as input/output (I/O) power.
TI’s regular models are generally in oversupply, and TPS53513, as one of TI’s trending models, despite several significant price drops, has not yet returned to normal.

NO.4 New high-priced chip
MK64FN1M0VLQ12:
Even at a lower price, it’s still unaffordable
MK64FN1M0VLQ12 has seen a continuous increase in search volume since last year, recently peaking, with a price exceeding 10,000 yuan in May, but the transaction price is still close to 10,000 yuan.

This is a general-purpose MCU from NXP’s MK series, with a normal price of around 35 yuan, widely used in automotive, industrial, mobile devices, and smart home applications.

STM32F103 Series: Gradually returning to rationality
Currently, STM32F103C8T6 has dropped to around 12 yuan, and STM32F103RCT6 has dropped to around 20 yuan.


Their normal prices are actually lower, with STM32F103C8T6 having a normal price of around 6 yuan (as of August 2020 and earlier), and STM32F103RCT6 having a normal price of around 10 yuan (as of August 2020 and earlier), and even after the price drop, they are still about twice the normal price. As ST’s basic F series MCU, they have always been popular in downstream consumer electronics, IoT, and industrial control applications.

Once the subject of news about a “100,000 yuan reward for a lost batch of TPS92692 goods at Huaqiang Market,” although it has fallen from grace since March’s complete shortage, many business owners still express long-term optimism.

NO.7 One of the most popular 8-bit MCUs
