2 Tool and Equipment Requirements

Use router-type V-CUT panel cutting machine, cutting accuracy ±0.15mm or more

Stamp Hole/ Real Connection Method

Use ROUTER milling cutter panel cutting machine, cutting accuracy ±0.15mm or more (based on the distance of the protrusion/indentation from the cutting position to the corresponding edge of the board); ≤ 0.6mm thickness PCB, allows the use of laser cutting, cutting accuracy ±0.1mm or more. Cutting must use panel cutting tooling fixtures.

Dust Control

Panel cutting equipment is recommended to have a necessary dust absorption control system to avoid dust residue on the PCBA.

Panel cutting station personnel must undergo specialized training and obtain certification before engaging in panel cutting operations

Panel cutting process requirements

1 ) First, fix the panel cutting fixture on the cutting machine, and use 1 Panel for panel path debugging

2) After the panel path debugging is OK, it can only begin panel cutting operations after confirmation by on-site technicians or engineers

3) After panel cutting is completed, use an air gun to dust the surface of the PCBA;

4) It is recommended that the panel cutting machine has an automatic dust removal system to automatically handle dust during panel cutting operations; during the cutting process, the panel cutting fixture and machine should not have visible dust residue;

EMS factories define the handling frequency themselves, and regularly manually clean the panel cutting fixtures and machines;5) If the cutting machine does not have an automatic dust removal system, after producing a certain number of panels, use a brush to clean the dust and residue from the panel cutting fixtures and machines,EMS factories define the handling frequency themselves, and must keep the cutting fixtures and machines free of visible dust residue;

Panel Quality Inspection

After panel cutting, copper should not be missing, no obvious burrs allowed, and the surface of the PCBA should not have dust residue; after laser cutting, the side wall should not be blackened, and the carbonization depth should not exceed the cutting line.

MIC panel cutting requirements

1) Panel cutting fixture design requirements: MIC must be sealed and protected, surrounded by walls (support base or upper cover) for protection, to prevent the suction force of the cutting machine from breaking the MIC diaphragm or allowing dust to enter;

2) After panel cutting, do not use an air gun to blow away debris from the connection strip position; debris can be improved by the suction force of the cutting equipment: for down-suction equipment, a table dust cover can be made to gather airflow and enhance the suction effect; for up-suction equipment, ensure there is sufficient suction to remove cutting debris.
