Recently, Huike Co., Ltd. and E Ink Technology officially signed a joint development agreement. This collaboration will deeply integrate Huike’s advantages in the entire display industry chain with E Ink’s cutting-edge electronic paper technology, focusing on breaking through the research and mass production bottlenecks of large-size electronic paper. The aim of this partnership is to promote the large-scale application of electronic paper technology in scenarios such as retail signage, industrial IoT, and smart cities, injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the industry through intelligent and green display solutions.
Currently, Huike’s electronic paper display products cover a wide range of sizes from 2.13 inches to 31.5 inches, with reserves in full-color display technology and mature TFT backplane module manufacturing capabilities. The products have been widely applied in various fields such as retail electronic price tags, medical ward information boards, smart manufacturing display modules, and logistics warehouse boards. At the same time, Huike is accelerating the layout of electronic paper advertising screens in sizes such as 55 inches and 75 inches, as well as bus stop signs, promoting the low-carbon and environmentally friendly application value of electronic paper in the IoT era.
To further deepen its involvement in the electronic paper field, Huike will establish an electronic paper production base in Guizhou, planning to build dedicated production lines for large-size electronic paper. This will create a complete industry chain from research and development to manufacturing, reducing the cost of large-size products through mass production, strengthening Huike’s technological autonomy in this field, and providing capacity assurance for the subsequent implementation of large-scale applications such as commercial displays.
Huike Electronic Paper Technology Application PlanningElectronic paper application planningRetail Scenarios
The retail industry is rapidly embracing electronic paper technology. In addition to electronic price tags, electronic paper billboards are gradually becoming a new favorite for indoor and outdoor marketing, especially large-size advertising screens over 21.5 inches. With their ultra-low power consumption and paper-like display characteristics, they can replace traditional LED screens and be deployed long-term on the exterior walls of supermarkets and exhibition halls. Their content can be updated in real-time, meeting the needs of businesses to flexibly adjust promotional information while significantly reducing operational costs with low power consumption. Additionally, the vivid images can attract consumer attention and enhance marketing conversion rates.
Educational Scenarios
In the education sector, electronic paper whiteboards can bring a new experience to classroom teaching. Teachers can use electronic paper whiteboards to record the teaching process in real-time, supporting screen recording, playback, and sharing, dynamically recording operations and writing processes. Combined with cloud storage functionality, it enables courseware version management and multi-terminal synchronization. It also supports interactive teaching, allowing students to operate on the whiteboard, enhancing participation and engagement in learning.
Smart Office Scenarios
In meeting and office scenarios, electronic paper nameplates support dynamic updates of participant information and multi-language switching. Combined with the real-time collaborative annotation features of electronic paper whiteboards, they can reduce paper consumption and help companies practice green office initiatives.
Moreover, electronic paper technology is extending to more terminals, such as electronic paper tablets and electronic paper displays, which will become ideal choices for long hours of work due to their smart and eye-friendly characteristics. These products further expand the application depth of electronic paper in office scenarios, creating a complete digital solution.
Transportation Scenarios
In the transportation sector, electronic paper technology has been widely applied in bus stop signs, subway information screens, and other scenarios. Addressing the different needs of hub stations, electronic paper transportation information screens ranging from 13.3 inches to 75 inches are being deployed, integrating renewable energy technologies such as solar and energy storage. These screens provide accurate schedule and route change information and will support one-click adjustments of sign content, providing reliable assurance for smart urban travel.
Art Scenarios
In the art field, electronic paper frames and picture frames provide a new dimension for displaying artworks. Through electronic paper technology, users can easily switch between different artworks, breaking the limitations of traditional display forms and further enriching the display forms and content of artworks.
#Win-Win CooperationCreating a New Era of Green Display
Against the backdrop of global carbon neutrality, the global electronic paper industry is rapidly rising. Currently, the application of electronic paper technology in various fields is still in the stages of technical validation and commercialization exploration. In the future, Huike will focus on expanding the large-scale implementation of large-size electronic paper in smart retail, transportation, office, and other commercial display fields, helping to build a low-carbon, efficient future society and bringing intelligent and green experiences to people’s lives and work.
