Detailed Steps for Replacing ISE Electrodes
If the electrode exceeds its valid period or usage time: potassium sodium chloride for 2 months, reference for 6 months, or if the results are unstable, the electrodes need to be replaced. This process is divided into three parts:
-
Replace K, Na, Cl electrodes
-
Replace the new reference electrode
-
Perfusion and ISE Check
1
Replace K, Na, Cl Electrodes
01
With the instrument in standby mode, open the large ISE cover and loosen the two gray screws on the white cover to remove it.

02
Disconnect the wires from the K, Na, Cl electrodes. They are red, yellow, and green wires.

03
Press down the lever on the right side of the electrode to sequentially remove the electrodes.

04
First, remove the black rubber pads on both sides of the new electrode, pull the metal rod switch, and insert the electrode. Then push the metal rod to tighten the electrodes together.

05
Reconnect the electrode wires, which are red, yellow, and green. The colors of the wires correspond to the colors of the electrodes.

2
Replace Reference Electrode
01
Disconnect the wire from the reference electrode, pull down the metal rod (hold it), and press the small iron piece on the reference electrode. This will open the crystal block of the reference electrode, allowing you to remove it.

02
Remove the black rubber pads on both sides of the new electrode, insert the new reference electrode. Pull the upper metal rod to tighten the crystal block against the reference electrode, and finally reconnect the reference electrode wire.

3
Perfusion and ISE Check
01
Execute Maintenance #8 Reagent Prime, input 10 for the number of cycles;
Execute Check #2 ISE Check, input 30 for the number of cycles;
Check the ISE Check report on the Print screen to ensure it is normal.
