With the development of cloud computing, many companies today plan to or are using cloud computing, but not every company uses the same type of cloud model. There are three types of cloud models, including public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud.
Public Cloud generally refers to clouds provided by third-party providers that users can access, typically via the Internet. Public clouds may be free or low-cost, and their core attribute is shared resource services.
Private Cloud (Private Clouds) is built for the exclusive use of a single client, thus providing the most effective control over data, security, and service quality. The company owns the infrastructure and can control how applications are deployed on this infrastructure. Private clouds can be deployed behind the company’s data center firewall or in a secure hosting location, with the core attribute of private clouds being dedicated resources.
Hybrid Cloud combines public and private clouds and is a major model and development direction in cloud computing in recent years. We know that private enterprises mainly target business users. For security reasons, companies prefer to store their data in private clouds, but at the same time, they wish to utilize the computing resources of public clouds. In this case, hybrid clouds are increasingly adopted, mixing and matching public and private clouds to achieve the best results. This personalized solution achieves both cost savings and security.
When Zhang San cooks at home, this is a private cloud, where the kitchen is like a self-built data center. Li Si eats at a restaurant every day, which is the public cloud, and the restaurant is the cloud data center. Then Wang Wu prefers beef, and has a fixed private room in the restaurant, which is not open to the public; this is a managed private cloud (some manufacturers define it as a dedicated cloud). The private room is like the managed server in the cloud data center.One day, ten guests came to Zhang San’s house, which is a sudden business increase; there is no way to fit so many people at home, so they must go to the restaurant, which is the private cloud turning into a public cloud.Then, Zhang San’s parents decided to save some money and stay home to eat, while Zhang San took the guests to the restaurant, which is the hybrid cloud.
