Introduction
From November 18 to 21, 2025, CiA successfully held the “CAN XL China Roadshow” in Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai. ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics, as one of the first CiA members in China, presented the latest CAN XL hardware and software solutions and delivered a speech on bus technology!

ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics delivered a speech titled “CAN XL in Automotive Testing: Building on the Advantages of CAN CC and CAN FD,” which analyzed the coexistence of various bus technologies such as CAN CC, CAN FD, and Ethernet in the current automotive network from the perspective of multi-domain integration. By outlining the evolution of technology and comprehensively comparing it with 10BASE-T1S, the core advantages of CAN XL as the next-generation in-vehicle communication protocol, such as backward compatibility and cost control, were deeply interpreted. On the technical implementation level, the current mainstream CAN XL controllers and transceivers’ technical architecture were dissected, indicating that the implementation of CAN XL is imminent. Finally, ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics demonstrated its existing CAN XL technology hardware and software solutions, empowering the application of the new generation of in-vehicle bus technology.
This sharing not only provided deep insights from a tool manufacturer’s perspective on the technological evolution of CAN XL but also injected strong momentum into promoting the large-scale application of the next-generation automotive bus technology.
CAN XL Solutions
ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics introduced the latest CAN XL interface card demo, equipped with automotive software ZXDoc, capable of mixed network communication for CAN, CAN FD, and CAN XL (up to 8M baud rate) and full-speed CAN XL bus communication (up to 20M baud rate). Currently, it can achieve CAN XL 2048-byte message sending and trace analysis, supporting control of multiple fields such as VCID, SDT, and AF, enabling Ethernet tunnel transmission, hardware filtering, and other multifunctional capabilities. Future upgrades will support advanced application layer functions such as CAN XL signal analysis, UDS diagnostics, and XCP calibration.
