Successfully imported PVE Home Assistant
Attempted to use TF card to flash the entire Home Assistant system (with the most complete functionality)
However, there are the following issues
-
The HA system needs to be re-flashed when issues occur
-
TF card damage
-
MQTT and database need to be deployed on separate servers, requiring additional devices
-
Flashing HA OS on Raspberry Pi 3, 4, 5 would cause performance redundancy, leading to resource waste
Used Docker to installHome Assistant
The problem is that there is no app store and other core functions like supervisor, missing a lot of extensibility
Select the file in the red box and import it into PVE
The red box is the virtual machine document provided by the official, no need to install it yourself, just import it directly
Address
https://github.com/home-assistant/iOS/releases
Currently, PVE has installed OpenWrt soft router, Home Assistant smart home, Ubuntu Server
For low-power devices, currently Pi 5 can try HA smart home setup
HA OS provides a complete system + various IoT devices + Server MQTT gateway + Frp proxy (public network) etc.
Downward can be Orange Pi 3B, upward can be Orange Pi 5 plus, store data on SSD, choose suitable devices according to the required configuration
Although it is PVE, it is not recommended to go all in boom
PVE only provides a single scenario that can expand more options
Consider placing it on Orange Pi 3B (2GB), while adding virtual memory, to see if the HA scenario is feasible
END.
