Traveling daily between cities and the countryside, experiencing the tranquility of nature and the authenticity of self in rural areas, while savoring the hustle and bustle of city life, always maintaining enthusiasm for urban living! Striving to explore the sustainable development of this semi-residential lifestyle.
Today, the children came to the farm for learning. As soon as they entered the conservation center, they saw various turtles, snakes, and lizards, excited as if they had entered a new world. Instantly entering the “Hundred Thousand Whys Mode”:
“Teacher, teacher, can the green iguana change color?”“Teacher, teacher, is the king snake poisonous?”“Teacher, teacher, does the Aldabra giant tortoise have natural enemies?”… the questions kept coming.
Our learning teacher was surrounded, answering questions while ensuring the safety of the animals. After one class, they were exhausted, dry-throated, with no time to drink water, but the children’s curiosity is like this; as long as you keep answering, they will keep asking. One question can lead to ten more questions, and at that moment, everyone thought, how wonderful it would be if there were an “AI Robot Learning Teacher” here! Not only capable of speaking and answering but truly able to, be patient no matter how many times asked, never annoyed, always emotionally stable, always enthusiastic, never tired, never making mistakes, and even able to recommend answers based on children’s interests, expanding knowledge, making every question a new exploration.
This is just like what Kevin Kelly said in his book about “smart aliens,” that future AI is not our opponent, nor does it replace our position, but rather a “new species” that coexists and collaborates with humans. They do not have human emotional fluctuations but possess memory, patience, and computational abilities beyond human capabilities. They will not tire like teachers or lose their temper like parents; they will unconditionally accompany, accept, support, and help humans achieve higher creativity and experiences, and if we place the “smart aliens” in our conservation center’s learning scenario, the picture would be very beautiful, from discussing turtles to island ecology, from snakes to food chains, and then to climate change, allowing every “why” from children to extend into a line of knowledge exploration. A true learning teacher will shift from “physical output” to “emotional companionship and value guidance,” meaning that AI is responsible for knowledge, while teachers are responsible for the soul; AI provides endless explanations, while teachers plant the seeds of love for nature. As the book states, technology does not replace humanity but enables humans to become more like “human” beings.
Perhaps that day is not far away, and when it arrives, our learning center will not just be about “seeing animals and nature,” but a place where humans learn and grow together with intelligence and nature.
