As someone who is deeply reliant on technology, my initial curiosity about robotic vacuum cleaners has turned into a full-blown dependency.
Recently, I had the chance to experience the new Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI, a “cleaning miracle” priced at 5999 yuan, and it truly opened my eyes.
What amazed me the most wasn’t its powerful suction of 5000Pa, but the fact that it can genuinely understand human commands!
With just a command of “OK, YIKO,” my hands are freed.
Previously, using a robotic vacuum required me to pull out my phone and tap around.
Now, I just need to say, “OK, YIKO,” and this little guy obediently follows my orders.
I tried saying, “Don’t clean around me,” and it immediately avoided my vicinity; “Go clean under the bed in the children’s room,” and it promptly headed in the right direction; “Step aside,” and it automatically rerouted.
This experience is incredibly comfortable, akin to having an AI butler from a movie!
Surprisingly, YIKO not only controls the cleaning functions but also acts as a complete smart assistant.

I have a curious cat at home, and I used to worry about the robotic vacuum bumping into it.
The X1 OMNI is equipped with a technology called “AIVI 3D,” utilizing an AI chip comparable to those used in autonomous vehicles, with a computing power of 5 TOPS!
What does this mean?
It’s similar to the A12 chip found in iPhones!
With such a powerful “brain,” the X1 can accurately identify various objects on the floor.
During testing, I deliberately placed wires, socks, slippers, and even my cat’s toys on the floor, and it was able to recognize and navigate around all of them.
Most impressively, it can assess the properties of different objects and maintain varying safety distances from furniture and pets.
When it detects my cat, it automatically avoids it, ensuring it neither frightens the cat nor interrupts its cleaning task.
Fully Automatic Base Station: Truly Freeing Your Hands
The fully automatic multifunctional base station that comes with the X1 OMNI is a godsend for lazy people. This 58 cm tall “little cabinet” integrates almost every conceivable function: automatic dust collection, automatic mop cleaning, water replenishment, drying, and even silver ion sterilization.
The best part is that previously, after using a robotic vacuum, I had to bend down to clean the mop. Now, the X1 returns to the base station to clean the mop itself and can even dry it with hot air. The entire process is fully automated; I only need to change the water in the tank every few days and replace the dust bag once a month. I can finally say goodbye to the hassle of daily bending down to clean!

After making a round, the X1 OMNI not only creates a 3D map of my home but also automatically identifies different room types, labeling the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. Even more impressively, it can recognize floor materials, knowing where the floor is and where the carpet is, and then automatically adjusts its cleaning methods.
When I say, “Go clean the kitchen,” it will automatically increase the suction and water levels; while in the bedroom, it will work quietly without disturbing my rest. This intelligent experience makes me feel like I truly have a responsive and smart “robot butler” at home.
My Thoughts
After using the X1 OMNI, I realized how much robotic vacuum cleaners have evolved.
Voice control, AI obstacle avoidance, and automated cleaning have completely liberated me from manual cleaning.
Most importantly, it can coexist peacefully with my pets, so I no longer have to worry about my cat being scared or the robot getting stuck.
Although the price of 5999 yuan is not cheap, the fully automated experience and the time and effort saved make this investment worthwhile.
