Flexibly avoiding obstacles,
continuously collecting surrounding environmental data…
Recently,
Chengdu High-tech ZoneIC PARKWest District
welcomed a unique “new employee” –
a wheeled inspection robot with autonomous inspection and environmental perception capabilities.
Upon “starting work”,
the robot immediately joined the security management team of the park,
assisting in upgrading security.
It is reported that the 32 robots of the same series deployed in Chengdu High-tech Zone have successively arrived at over 20 areas including IC PARK West District, Mold Industrial Park, China-Europe Center, and High-tech Youth Apartment. This intelligent application service project covering various scenarios such as industrial production, scientific research offices, and leisure life has been fully launched. In addition to innovatively carrying out security and patrol services, the project will also extend to diversified needs such as environmental cleaning and logistics distribution in the future, exploring a new paradigm of human-machine collaborative intelligent services.
Multimodal Perception + AI Judgment
Human-machine collaboration enhances the quality and efficiency of park security
Security governance is the “lifeline” of industrial parks, providing solid guarantees for the production and research activities of resident enterprises. How to further enhance security capabilities and promote the upgrade of parks from spatial supply to industrial ecological empowerment has become a new consideration for park operators.
Previously, during rain and fog, manual inspections were hindered by visibility issues, affecting the efficiency of hazard identification. At night, there were also certain blind spots in inspections of some remote areas. The robots that have “started work” will specifically address security challenges in complex environments.

This robot is equipped with an infrared thermal imaging core module and a laser radar system. With multimodal perception fusion technology, it can effectively overcome the limitations of complex environments such as rain, fog, and darkness, achieving precise obstacle avoidance and all-weather operation. In addition, the robot can accurately monitor temperature and humidity, identify unauthorized intrusions, and provide early warnings for fire hazards, detecting blocked fire exits and overflowing trash bins, thus compensating for the shortcomings of manual inspections.
The deployment of robots does not directly replace human labor but optimizes security effectiveness through a human-machine collaboration model. The AI algorithm system built into the robot has high-precision risk assessment capabilities, allowing for accurate analysis and identification of captured risks. Once an anomaly is detected, it can trigger an alarm in seconds and simultaneously push alarm information containing on-site images and precise locations to the park management platform, assisting the security team in grasping the situation in real-time and taking remote or on-site action.

Under the new human-machine collaboration model of “robot inspection + manual handling”, the efficiency of park security will be further enhanced, creating a safe and secure environment for high-value research and development, precision manufacturing, and other electronic information enterprises.
“Scene Innovation” Engine Driving
“Three Steps to Build an Intelligent Service Ecosystem
Since the beginning of this year, Chengdu High-tech Zone has seized the opportunity of the artificial intelligence (robot) industry, relying on the strong electronic information industry foundation and rich application scenario resources within the district, to accelerate the promotion of embodied intelligent equipment from technology research and development to large-scale application. The deployment of security robots is a strong practice of Chengdu High-tech Zone in implementing regional scene innovation work deployment and promoting the application of embodied intelligent scenes.
The security robot deployment project adopts a progressive strategy of “pilot first – step-by-step promotion”, building an intelligent service ecosystem in three steps.
The first batch of robots deployed in industrial parks operated by the High Investment Group, cultural and sports venues, cooperative hospitals, and schools will focus on verifying the reliability of technology and scene adaptability through on-site operations. The mid-term plan of the project is to complete the full-area layout of 100 devices in the internal industrial area of the High Investment Group, forming a large-scale application effect; in the long term, it will gradually extend to public scenes throughout Chengdu High-tech Zone and even nationwide, further consolidating the future industrial competitive foundation of Chengdu High-tech Zone.
——Coordinator of the security robot deployment project
Currently, the first batch of 32 deployed robots is expected to all “start work” this month; the remaining robots will complete production, acceptance, and deployment work within the year, ultimately achieving full-area and large-scale application, continuously consolidating the region’s competitiveness in the field of intelligent equipment solutions.
It is worth mentioning that the project has also established a closed-loop development system of “demand excavation – technology iteration – scene expansion”.The project coordinator introduced, “This means that after completing the deployment of basic functions for security patrols, it will also extend to diversified demand scenarios such as environmental cleaning and logistics distribution in the future, exploring a new paradigm of human-machine collaborative intelligent services, effectively addressing specific challenges in urban public scene governance while promoting industrial upgrades.
IC PARK(West District)
Not only securityrobots, but also more and moreintelligent application services are being implemented in Chengdu High-tech Zone. In the future, Chengdu High-tech Zone will deepen the promotion of the “full park action”, enhance the integration and innovation of intelligent technology and industrial services, rely on the regional advantages of industrial clusters in artificial intelligence and electronic information, integrate advanced technology research and development and industrial service resources, and collaboratively promote key technology breakthroughs and scene application implementations.
