On September 1st,
to welcome over 170,000
students from primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Optics Valley,
the East Lake High-tech Zone held
a “Smart Start to the Future –
Hi, My Robot Classmate”
themed “First Class of the School Year.”

At Optics Valley Sixth Primary School, students interacted with robots.
At 8:30 AM,
at the entrance of the Science Hall of Optics Valley Fifteenth Primary School,
the humanoid robot “Photon” transformed into
a special “ceremonial team member”,
performing smooth Tai Chi and engaging in fun dialogues,
to welcome the students’ arrival.

Inside the hall,

Wang Ruoqian from Class 601 of Optics Valley Fifteenth Primary School said, “This year’s first class is so full of technology, especially the robot ‘Photon’, whose arm joints are very flexible and can even perform Tai Chi.”
Huo Fenfang, director of the Information Resource Center at Optics Valley Fifteenth Primary School, introduced, “This ‘First Class of the School Year’ aims to enhance children’s perception of technology and let everyone feel that artificial intelligence is right beside them.”
At Optics Valley Ninth Primary School,
mascots “Jiu Jiu” and “Xiao Xiao” charmed the new students,
Dr. Huang Peng from Wuhan Engineering University
delivered a
lecture on “Humanoid Robots and Dance Art,”
hitting the forefront of technological trends.

At Optics Valley Ninth Primary School, students and their robot friends opened a smart classroom.
On the first day of school, a sudden rainstorm hit,
at the entrance of Optics Valley Twenty-Seventh Primary School,
AI robots “Xiao An” and “Xiao Quan”

to ensure a clear school access route.”

At Optics Valley Eighteenth Primary School (West Campus), robots held a ball game,
at Optics Valley Science and Innovation Experimental Middle School,
the Starry Sky Choir performed a technology-themed song,
humanoid robot “Chuang Chuang” danced with students,
the tech-savvy dance moves
caused students to scream with excitement.

At Optics Valley Twelfth Primary School, the first robot class began with “Exploring the Future of Intelligent Technology.”
This “Smart Start to the Future – Hi, My Robot Classmate” event covered kindergartens and primary and secondary schools in East Lake High-tech Zone, with kindergartens focusing on “Cute Kids Meet Silicon-Based” technology experiences, primary schools concentrating on “Decoding the Silicon-Based World” exploration, middle schools emphasizing “Coding Shapes Embodiment” practices, and high schools highlighting “Historical Perspectives on the Future” innovations.
At Optics Valley Second Middle School, the student band performed together with the robot Dier.
In this event, a total of 20 humanoid robots entered the campus, with 37 schools collaborating with the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center,Optics Valley Dongzhi,Gelanruo, and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Peking University Wuhan, among other enterprises and research institutions, to deeply integrate cutting-edge technology with classroom education, allowing students to closely touch the pulse of technological industry development.Image and text source: China Optics Valley
Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Centeraims to achieve “one year to start, three years to see results, five years to gain momentum,” focusing on building “three venues and one base,” concentrating on motion training and data collection, and surrounding four major functions such as concept verification and pilot service, to create an innovation ecosystem of “government-industry-university-research-finance-service-use.” The goal is to promote the gathering of upstream and downstream enterprises in the Hubei humanoid robot industrial park.
Hubei Humanoid Robot Industry Allianceis based on the advantages of Hubei manufacturing and university talent, deeply collaborating with the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, with the core responsibility of “building an ecosystem to empower talent, industry, capital, think tanks, and brands,” and providing services in various aspects such as talent cultivation, industrial cooperation, and collaborative innovation.
