Reflections on a Year of Connections

Hello, this has been my year.

It has been a long time since we last met. Last year’s festival was bright and clear, but this year’s festival has been filled with continuous rain. Time really flies; in just a short year, I have finally understood the saying that relationships between people are fluid.

I never expected that I would have the chance to meet again with friends I had only met once, and even have the opportunity to chat when everyone is free. If the relationship with friends is the most stable, then this period is the best interpretation of that.

I never imagined that comrades who fought alongside me day and night would achieve their own choices and live the life I envy.

I never thought that when I heard friends considering me and being thoughtful, I would worry more about the unpleasantness that might arise because of me.

I think if being liked by friends is a kind of luck, then I hope this luck can create magic. I hope my friends can be happy because of me; I hope they can truly forget about me as a specific person and just keep the happy memories.

May all future Mid-Autumn Festivals be sweet and fragrant.

Take care (t/c)
