This time, the realme X series launched two models: the realme X standard version and the realme X youth version. Both models are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 mobile platform and support VOOC 3.0 flash charging. The difference is that the former features a cooler pop-up camera and screen fingerprint recognition technology, with the rear main camera using the Sony IMX586 sensor, built-in UFS 2.1 standard flash memory, a 3700mAh battery, and a USB Type-C interface, starting at 1499 yuan; the latter uses a waterdrop screen and rear fingerprint design, with a rear main camera of 16 million pixels using the Sony IMX519 sensor, built-in eMMC 5.1 standard flash memory, a 4045mAh battery, and a MicroUSB interface, starting at 1199 yuan (4GB+64GB).
Currently, there are not many phones that can sell the Snapdragon 710 at a price of around a thousand yuan. The ones that come to mind include the 360 N7 Pro, Meizu X8, Lenovo Z5s, and Xiaomi 8 SE. Of course, we also see many new products equipped with Snapdragon 675 priced around a thousand yuan, but the GPU performance of Snapdragon 675 is significantly lower than that of Snapdragon 710. In terms of gaming experience, Snapdragon 710 is still the most reliable in this price range.
From this perspective, the realme X youth version has an almost unbeatable cost-performance ratio, while the realme X standard version is also the only model at this price point that can simultaneously feature a pop-up camera, screen fingerprint recognition, Snapdragon 710, UFS 2.1 flash memory, IMX586 sensor, and VOOC 3.0 flash charging, making it equally difficult to find a competitor.

Full-Screen Experience: Counting the Most Valuable Features
Although there are many phones armed with Snapdragon 675 and Snapdragon 710 in the thousand-yuan price range, they all have a common problem—they mostly use notches, waterdrop, or hole-punch screens, and their bezel widths are quite “disappointing”, making it easy to see the quality difference between them and products priced above 2000 yuan.
The biggest feature of the realme X is that it does not adopt the commonly used waterdrop screen or hole-punch screen solutions in the thousand-yuan level phones, but instead features a complete 6.53-inch screen without any openings, ensuring a flawless “view”. Snapdragon 710 Flash Charging: I Think It Works
The realme X series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, which uses the same 10nm LPP process as the Snapdragon 845. The core architecture is derived from the modified Cortex A75/A55 Kryo 360, and the GPU has evolved to Adreno 616, supporting 4K HDR playback for the first time and improved ISP, Hexagon DSP, and modem, enhancing performance in photography, AI, and downlink speed.
Compared to the recently launched Snapdragon 675, the Snapdragon 710 may lag behind in CPU performance, but its integrated Adreno 616 is enough to outperform the Adreno 612 integrated in Snapdragon 675. If you enjoy gaming, the Snapdragon 710 remains the strongest option outside the Snapdragon 8 series.
The realme X comes pre-installed with ColorOS V6.0, supporting Hyper Boost 2.0 and game space, allowing it to fully utilize every bit of system resources during gaming, maintaining 60fps and 30fps full-frame operation in popular games like “Honor of Kings” and “Peace Elite”.
In addition to the Snapdragon 710, the realme X standard version also features UFS 2.1 standard flash memory, with continuous read speeds easily exceeding 500MB/s, a significant improvement over the average 350MB/s of eMMC 5.1.
This product offers three configuration versions: 4GB+64GB (1499), 6GB+64GB (1599), and 8GB+128GB (1799). Theoretically, the 4GB+64GB version is sufficient. It is important to note that the realme X does not support storage card expansion, so if you place great importance on storage space, you may have to choose the high configuration version priced at 1799 yuan.
The battery capacity of the realme X standard version is lower than that of the youth version, but the 3700mAh capacity is still not low. Moreover, this product also features a reversible Type-C interface and supports VOOC 3.0 flash charging technology.
Although the maximum power of VOOC 3.0 flash charging is only 20W, it has the advantage of charging while playing games. During an hour of continuous gaming, the battery can be charged to over 60%, which is satisfactory compared to many charging solutions where the battery charge is slow or even decreases while playing games.
