Qualcomm officially launched the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processor today, which includes the Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, claiming to be the “fastest, most powerful, and most energy-efficient Windows PC processor currently available.”

The flagship model, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, utilizes TSMC’s 3nm process technology, featuring up to 18 cores and a maximum frequency of 5GHz.

Its third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU offers a performance improvement of up to 50% compared to previous platform CPUs, while power consumption is reduced by 43% compared to the previous generation.

In terms of GPU graphics performance, the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme supports three 5K 60Hz displays and is compatible with DirectX 12.2 Ultimate, with performance improvements of up to 2.3 times compared to the previous generation.

The NPU features the world’s fastest NPU designed for laptops, boasting 8 TOPS of computing power, with a performance increase of 78% over the previous generation.

Memory support has been upgraded to LPDDR5X-9523, with a 192-bit wide bus, providing a high bandwidth of 228GB/s, and capacity can exceed 128GB, achieving a speed increase of 69% compared to the previous generation.
