Musk: Samsung and TSMC Collaborate on AI5 Chip Production, Will Not Replace NVIDIA

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed during a conference call today that TSMC and Samsung will participate in the design work for Tesla’s AI 5 chip. “We will not replace NVIDIA.” The AI5 chip is used to power the autonomous driving and robotics product lines. Previously, he stated that the performance of the AI5 chip is 40 times that of the AI4, with an 8-fold increase in computing power and a 9-fold increase in memory.
