Luma has been released, and Nordkalai has introduced a new character, bringing a brand new Moon Bloom gameplay. Which systems can be enhanced? How can we cultivate them most scientifically? Let’s organize this information.

Character Introduction
Luma is a Moon Chanting Envoy from the Frost Moon Children faction, similar to Nahida, being a Dendro catalyst character. Its role is akin to that of the Dendro Archon, serving as a sub-DPS and damage-boosting support. The sub-DPS capability mainly involves dealing direct damage through a long-press elemental skill after collecting Dendro droplets, while the damage-boosting aspect reduces both Hydro and Dendro resistances during the elemental skill’s area effect and provides damage bonuses based on the number of Moon Chants after the elemental burst is activated.

The normal attack deals Dendro damage in three stages, which can help generate seeds when needed, and a long press can transform into a deer, allowing for jumping and running in the open world.
The elemental skill, when tapped, activates an area effect that applies Dendro, also reducing resistances to Hydro and Dendro. A long press deals Moon Bloom damage based on the number of Dendro droplets collected and grants layers of Moon Chant to enhance the elemental burst consumption, increasing various Bloom damage.
The elemental burst does not deal damage but provides a base number of Moon Chant layers, also collecting those converted from the previous elemental skill, enhancing subsequent Bloom damage based on Luma’s mastery.

The talents enhance the damage of the elemental skill and Bloom damage based on Luma’s mastery, and the initial Moon Bloom seed can critically hit, while full Moon Bloom can enhance the critical hit and damage of Bloom reactions.
Weapon Selection

5-star weapon: Spinning Moon Mirror (the team must have Moon Bloom to fully benefit from its effects, significantly enhancing Bloom reactions), other mastery catalysts, with sub-stats providing team benefits or mastery recharge can include: Thousand Nights Floating Dream, Wish of the Star Seeker, and First Light of the New Moon.
4-star weapons: Light of the Dawn (event acquisition), Black Mist Lantern (new forging), Sacrificial Fragments, and if no mastery main stat weapon is available, consider those with recharge sub-stats.
Artifact Selection
Memory of the Deep Forest (Dendro set) or Night Song of the Spinning Moon (new artifact).
Memory of the Deep Forest provides Luma with powerful Dendro application capabilities, triggering resistance reduction effects almost universally, and since Luma focuses on Bloom damage, which is Dendro damage, it is suitable for use when no teammates are equipped with Dendro sets, as the effects do not stack.

Night Song of the Spinning Moon, with a two-piece set providing recharge effects that Luma needs, and a four-piece set enhancing mastery stats and Bloom reaction damage, but requires a Nordkalai teammate to achieve full Moon Bloom effects.
Talent Allocation
Normal Attack (1), Elemental Skill (9), Elemental Burst (9).
For its role, leveling the elemental skill and burst is essential; max them out, and consider upgrading the crown to level 10 if conditions allow.
Team Recommendations
Based on the talents, Luma can be seen to have two directions: Initial Bloom and Full Bloom. Initial Bloom means the team has only Luma as the Nordkalai character, while Full Bloom includes at least two Nordkalai characters, including Luma.
Initial Bloom Original Bloom

Due to the risk of being damaged by seeds, a healing character is essential.
Luma/Nilu/Sango no Kokomi/Dendro Archon, Luma/Nilu/Bai Zhu/Funina, Kaveh/Luma/Xingqiu/Ye Lan. Players with conditions can unlock Luma’s first constellation to provide front-line healing, making team compositions more flexible.
Initial Bloom Super Bloom

Try to exclude other Electro Super Bloom reactions; the driver should preferably be a Dendro or Hydro character to benefit from Luma’s resistance reduction effects.
Luma/Xingqiu (Funina)/Kuki Shinobu/Nahida (Nawilete).
Initial Bloom Fiery Bloom

Healing characters are also necessary; ensure that the backline Pyro character has high mastery.
Ginyu/Luma/Toma (Mavika)/Funina (Xingqiu, Ye Lan), Kamisato Ayato (Sango no Kokomi)/Luma/Funina/Toma.
Full Bloom Moon Bloom
Currently, there is no complete team; Luma and Aino can barely achieve a Full Bloom effect, as there is also a set of artifacts, Night of the Abyss, which benefits the most under Full Bloom conditions, enhancing mastery and increasing Moon reaction damage and critical rate, appearing to be used by main DPS Nordkalai characters, while Luma and Aino are designed more as support characters.
Conclusion

Luma elevates the high ceiling of the Sumeru Dendro team to a new level, thanks to its built-in Hydro and Dendro resistance reduction and the ability for seeds to critically hit, along with seed Bloom damage and Luma’s direct Moon Bloom damage.
