1. Microcomputer
A microcomputer is a type of microcomputer (a kind of electronic computer, also known as a computer). The microcomputer is abbreviated as “microcomputer” or “micro”, and since it possesses certain functions similar to the human brain, it is also referred to as a “microcomputer”.
It is an electronic computer composed of large-scale integrated circuits and is relatively small in size. It is based on a microprocessor, equipped with memory and input/output (I/O) interface circuits, and corresponding auxiliary circuits, forming a bare machine.
Its characteristics include small size, high flexibility, low cost, and ease of use.
Integrating a microcomputer onto a single chip forms a single-chip microcomputer, abbreviated as MCU. I studied this in college, working with MCS48/MCS51 systems, and I was proud to program a “running light” in the lab.
Currently, it is widely used in control panels for small appliances and was previously used in large industrial control computers. I did a graduation project on automatic material input and output, temperature control for large industrial kilns, and microcomputer automatic control for power plant boilers.
A system composed of a microcomputer along with corresponding peripheral devices (such as printers) and other dedicated circuits, power supplies, panels, racks, and sufficient software is called a microcomputer system (commonly referred to as a computer).
2. Computer
A computer is the colloquial term for a computer (computer), which is an electronic machine used for high-speed calculations. It can perform numerical calculations, logical calculations, and has memory storage capabilities.
It is a modern intelligent electronic device capable of automatically and rapidly processing massive amounts of data according to a program. A computer that has no installed software is referred to as a bare machine.
Computers can be classified into five categories: supercomputers, industrial control computers, network computers, personal computers, and embedded computers. More advanced computers include biological computers, photonic computers, and quantum computers.
Haha, is there a super industrial control network personal computer?
3. Computer
A computer refers to a computer.
4. Calculator
A calculator (calculator; counter) generally refers to an “electronic calculator”. A calculator is a handheld machine capable of performing mathematical operations, equipped with integrated circuit chips, but with a simpler structure than modern computers. It can be considered the first generation of electronic computers (computers), with weaker functionality but more convenient and inexpensive, widely used in commercial transactions, and is one of the essential office supplies. In addition to displaying calculation results, it often has overflow indicators, error indicators, etc. Calculators use AC adapters or batteries for power, and batteries can be recharged using AC adapters or solar converters. To save energy, calculators are made using CMOS technology for large-scale integrated circuits (see complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor integrated circuits).
5. Smartphone (adding a concept)
A smartphone refers to a type of mobile phone that, like a personal computer, has an independent operating system and independent running space, allowing users to install software, games, navigation, and other programs provided by third-party service providers, and can achieve wireless network access through mobile communication networks.
Isn’t a smartphone also a type of computer?
6. PC
A PC (personal computer) is a personal computer that can operate independently and perform specific functions. A personal computer does not need to share processing, disk, and printer resources with other computers and can work independently.
From desktop computers (also known as desktop computers), laptops, netbooks, and tablets to ultrabooks, all fall under the category of personal computers.
With the popularity of smartphones and tablets, most people may now prefer the office and entertainment methods that can be completed with just a touch of a finger. Recently, both domestically and internationally, many “experts” believe that traditional PCs will soon be replaced by more portable smartphones and tablets.
It can be seen that smartphones are indeed a type of computer or a type of computing device.
PC personal computers, are the company’s computers not personal computers? Because they do not belong to personal property, they are company property, but are used by individuals. “Personal computers do not need to share processing, disk, and printer resources with other computers and can work independently,” but all our company computers are networked, haha, they indeed do not belong to PCs.
7. Industrial Control Computer
An industrial control computer (Industrial Personal Computer, IPC) is a type of computer that uses a bus structure to monitor and control production processes, electromechanical equipment, and process equipment.
Industrial control computers have important computer attributes and characteristics, such as having a computer CPU, hard disk, memory, peripherals, and interfaces, as well as operating systems, control networks and protocols, computing capabilities, and user-friendly human-machine interfaces.
The products and technologies in the industrial control industry are very specialized, belonging to intermediate products, providing reliable, embedded, and intelligent industrial computers for other industries.
