Do you remember when Kevin Kelly mentioned the future form of the Internet of Things as a “mirror world” during an interview with Xiao E in the first half of the year?
He said that everything is digitized, everything can be interpreted by machines, and with digital twin technology, people will live simultaneously in the real world and the mirror world.
In Zhejiang, this vision is becoming a reality.
The newly opened 10 kV distribution room of the Wuzhen Internet Light Expo Center this year is a fully perceptive intelligent distribution room that utilizes digital twin technology to create a virtual scene that seamlessly matches the real scene.
Staff can enter the empowerment platform and see the real current structure, environmental monitoring, inspection robots in the virtual distribution room…
To know which content, just click on which module.
Of course, just as the World Internet Conference allows people to glimpse the light of the future, we can also view this distribution room as a window into understanding the ubiquitous power Internet of Things world in Zhejiang.
In Zhejiang, the ubiquitous Internet of Things is no longer just a concept, and more and more results are being realized.
This is the era of innovation
Since the beginning of the year, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has strengthened the innovative application of advanced technologies and equipment such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence interaction, and industrial robots in the power production service process, promoting the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.
From October 1 to 3 this year, Zhejiang implemented valley-filling demand response for the first time, with over 540 actual participating households, a maximum valley-filling load of 520,000 kilowatts, and a total response electricity of 7.3 million kilowatt-hours, allowing users to improve their electricity usage while receiving subsidies. This achievement is inseparable from blockchain.
Based on blockchain technology, real-time load data is uploaded to the chain and provided to relevant stakeholders such as the power grid company, provincial energy bureau, and users, ensuring data consistency among different entities. Users can query relevant data on the website and verify on-chain data to achieve innovation in demand-side management.
A few days ago, the sales manager of Huzhou Tailun Electric Equipment Co., Ltd., Tan Peijun, completed the power material settlement business through the smart financial material settlement integrated machine:
▽ Take out ID card for verification
▽ Insert invoice for verification
▽ Retrieve receipt after successful verification
It only took 1 minute from start to finish.
This is the first self-service intelligent terminal for material settlement independently developed and successfully promoted by State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power.
It can automatically complete a series of processes such as payment condition review, remote invoice verification, bill verification, tax deduction, and fund payment application, and suppliers can receive SMS about the payment date simultaneously.
Say goodbye to carrying a large stack of documents and waiting in line, say goodbye to manual multi-layer approval.
Tan Peijun sighed, “After the invoice is submitted for self-service, the machine can review it immediately, and the efficiency has improved tremendously!”
Currently, relevant research units under State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power are developing 5G power Internet of Things terminals, and over the next five years, more than 3.3 million various 5G power Internet of Things terminals will be connected.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is also accelerating the demonstration construction of the “cloud-management-edge-terminal” distribution Internet of Things, achieving automatic fault judgment and on-site integration of operation and maintenance data, enhancing the consistency of operation and maintenance; by improving the enterprise middle platform construction, infrastructure upgrades, and security protection construction, promoting the seamless connection of the entire business process, comprehensive connection of operational data, and promoting internal quality improvement and external emerging business expansion, leading innovation and transformation.
This is the era of big data
From the perception layer, network layer, data layer, platform layer, and security protection layer, multi-faceted efforts are made to effectively enhance the basic support capabilities of ubiquitous interconnection of energy information through large-scale data collection and processing capabilities, edge computing capabilities, data sharing, data carrying capacity, IoT management service capabilities, and comprehensive security protection systems oriented towards the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.
The electrical person in charge of the Spring Dawn production base of Ningbo Haitian Plastic Machine Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Jianbin, saw the electricity usage of every workshop and even every production line through the monitoring background, and all the data such as instantaneous current and voltage of each production line were under control. This is thanks to the energy data collection terminal device used by the enterprise.
The energy data collection terminal is one of the smart grid hardware supports in the Ningbo Meishan Smart Energy Internet of Things demonstration zone, and this device can collect data on all energy usage, including water, electricity, gas, and heat, helping scientific management and comprehensive energy efficiency improvement on the consumption side.
In the era of big data, every precise collection and fusion of data creates possibilities for more innovative applications. The “Online State Grid” APP, which integrates services from platforms such as State Grid Mall, eBao, eCharging, and Light eBao, is an example.
A massive amount of big data is gathered here. As an effective exploration of a unified entrance for customer-side construction in the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, this APP was first promoted and launched in Zhejiang at the end of April and can meet all customer electricity handling needs, achieving “one network for all services.”
As of the end of September, the “Online State Grid” APP in Zhejiang Province has handled 2.88 million payment transactions, 840,000 electricity expansion applications, 11,000 personal charging pile applications, and 12,309 photovoltaic applications.
Chen Chao, who lives in Duqiao Town, Linhai, lightly tapped the “Energy Analysis” of the “Online State Grid” APP, and the “customized household bill” popped up. The page showed that without executing peak-valley electricity, the annual electricity bill is 568.13 yuan; if peak-valley electricity is executed, it only needs 510.26 yuan, saving more than 50 yuan, and the peak-valley electricity change operation can be directly handled on the APP.
In the excavation and sedimentation of data value, building a data middle platform is also an important part. Since its trial operation began in early March, the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power data middle platform has been providing middle platform data services for various innovative applications, achieving a single source of data, reducing duplicate storage, thereby lowering data storage costs and human resource costs generated by repeated data processing, and supporting agile development of applications.
In the future, as the value of data continues to sediment and be excavated, it will also give rise to the development of various big data innovative applications, ultimately achieving “one map for the power grid, one source of data, and one line of business.”
This is the era of sharing
From urban construction to hotels and homestays, and empowering all subjects, around the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power deeply constructs an energy interconnection system that is vertically linked, open and diverse, and shared, creating a “digital ecosystem of the power grid” that penetrates all walks of life and thousands of households, allowing value to increase.
Power + Urban Construction
On the midnight road in Wuzhen, two rows of brand-new “neurons” smart street lights have become the “listeners” of the entire town. Because they can not only monitor pedestrian and vehicle flow in real-time and automatically adjust the brightness of the lights, but also provide auxiliary decision-making basis for municipal, traffic, public security, meteorology, environmental protection, and power supply departments, empowering shared resources in the small town.
In Hangzhou, when checking into a hotel, guests may receive an electronic “carbon bill” to understand their unit time energy consumption and ranking during their stay. The moment the guest inserts the power card into the room slot, the energy collector in the room detects subtle changes in the power waveform and sends the time to the remote service cloud platform, informing the system to start energy consumption calculation. At the same time, the hotel manager can also clearly grasp the energy consumption structure characteristics and energy management level ranking of the hotel in the industry.
By sharing power data, it provides improvement consulting services for hotel energy consumption management, while also awakening tourists’ awareness of green travel and focusing on energy conservation and emission reduction. Currently, 71 hotels have participated, and it is expected that data from more than 500 hotels will be connected by the end of October.
In Deqing Moganshan, Huzhou, the original scale and quality of homestays varied, and energy management levels were generally low. Now, more and more homestays have installed energy monitoring devices, significantly improving energy utilization rates. Homestays that have obtained ecological certification can also enjoy green financial loans with “zero down payment,” “zero fees,” and “zero guarantees.”
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is promoting comprehensive energy utilization by participating in the construction of the “Green Gathering Energy” industry alliance, promoting the construction of all-electric green smart homestays while also innovating new business models for energy trusts.
Power + Tourism + Finance + …More and more fields will join the pursuit of a green life.
Jiaxing Hecheng’s “multi-station integration” smart energy station construction and the design of the water-cooled green data center at the tight water beach power plant… are all in action.
2019 is the first year of the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things by the State Grid Corporation.
Currently, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is undertaking 38 tasks organized and implemented by the State Grid Corporation, and is progressing in an orderly manner, with the overall progress of 3 comprehensive demonstration projects and 8 self-expansion tasks exceeding half.
In this wave of smart Internet of Things, Zhejiang, which “dares to be the first,” seizes the first-mover advantage, continues to “act in practice, stay ahead, and stand at the forefront,” writing the Zhejiang practice.
