The annual Snapdragon Technology Summit was held from December 1 to December 2, but only the new flagship processor Snapdragon 888 was announced, and the rumored mid-range Snapdragon 775G was not released.
According to leaks, “the Snapdragon 7 series iterative processor is expected to ship in Q1 next year.” Meanwhile, MediaTek’s 6nm 5G SoC is also set to be released, with reports suggesting that devices featuring MediaTek’s new chip may not be available this year.As for the Snapdragon 775G, there is currently not much information available. Previous leaks indicated that the Snapdragon 775G is based on a 6nm process, with AnTuTu scores around 530,000, representing an approximate 60% improvement over the previous Snapdragon 765G, marking a significant leap in performance.
Competitors’ mid-range 5G SoCs are also performing strongly, with Samsung’s Exynos 1080 based on a 5nm process scoring around 690,000 on AnTuTu, while MediaTek’s new 6nm SoC performs slightly better than the Dimensity 1000 Plus, making the upcoming competition very exciting.
