On September 6, 2025, the group standard “IoT Application Level Evaluation Specification” (Standard No.: T/CA 024—2025) was officially released nationwide, organized and compiled by the Internet of Things Application Branch of the China Communications Industry Association. This standard is an important normative document in the field of IoT applications in China, aimed at establishing a scientific and unified evaluation system for IoT application levels, providing important technical basis and standard support for the healthy development of the industry.

This standard systematically constructs an evaluation index system covering the entire lifecycle of IoT technology applications, including multiple dimensions such as infrastructure, data perception, network transmission, platform services, intelligent applications, security guarantees, economic benefits, and social benefits, setting five levels: A, B, C, D, and E for the IoT system capabilities and application service levels of enterprises or related institutions. It provides a comprehensive and objective assessment of the implementation level and maturity of various IoT applications, offering scientific basis for enterprises or institutions’ self-diagnosis, industry benchmarking, and government policy formulation.
