Is the Xiaomi series going to focus on screens this year?

Not LCD but better than LCD? What is this new technology?
On May 7, the blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed news about a new device, which is likely the next generation of the REDMI K90 series.
According to the blogger, there is a sub-series flagship line that is expected to standardize RGB OLED across the entire series, and the new device will also feature a completely new large R-angle flat screen design. Although the new device is not directly named, it is highly likely to be the REDMI K90 series. Previous reports indicated that the K90 series will be the first to feature a 50-megapixel main camera across the entire series, but there are significant differences in sensor specifications between the standard and Pro versions. Currently, popular 200-megapixel lenses are not expected to be equipped by REDMI.
The RGB OLED screen prototype is described as a new arrangement method for OLED screens, which uses a complete RGB subpixel arrangement, with each pixel independently emitting light, solving the pixel density loss problem caused by PenTile or diamond arrangements in traditional OLED screens, making the display clarity under the same resolution close to that of LCD. Additionally, it significantly alleviates the long-standing burn-in phenomenon of OLED by improving the luminous efficiency of the blue subpixel and the lifespan of organic materials, and reduces motion blur issues, enhancing the smoothness of dynamic images. The Real RGB OLED is primarily developed by domestic manufacturers such as TCL Huaxing and BOE, and has entered mass production as of March 2025, with related terminal products expected to be launched within the year.
