1. Training Background and Objectives

With the continuous development of electronic technology, microcontrollers play an irreplaceable role in various fields such as smart homes, industrial control, and Internet of Things devices. To enhance the members’ understanding and skills in microcontroller knowledge, and to improve their comprehensive practical abilities, the microcontroller laboratory conducted training activities aimed at allowing members to deeply understand the principles of microcontrollers, master programming skills, and independently develop simple microcontroller projects.

2. Training Content

(1) Discussion of Theoretical Knowledge

The STM32 microcontroller, with its advantages of high performance, low power consumption, and rich peripheral resources, has received widespread attention in many academic research and engineering application fields. This academic seminar aims to deeply explore the core technologies of the STM32 microcontroller, the latest research results, and its application prospects in different disciplines, providing a platform for researchers and developers in related fields to exchange and cooperate, promoting further development and innovative applications of STM32 microcontroller technology. During evening study sessions, we invited the Electronics Association to discuss knowledge related to the “STM32 Microcontroller”.

(2) In-depth Practice

To deeply cultivate the skills of association members, our association closely cooperated with the microcontroller laboratory, integrating outstanding members into the laboratory project development. The laboratory teachers provided long-term training to them, enhancing their ability to apply knowledge, solidifying and stabilizing the knowledge acquired.

1. Development Environment Setup

At the beginning of the training, trainees were guided to install and configure the microcontroller development environment, including the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), compiler, and download tools, ensuring that trainees could smoothly proceed with subsequent experimental development.

2. Basic Experiments

Conducted an experiment to light up an LED, which is a classic introductory experiment for microcontrollers. Trainees wrote simple programs to control the microcontroller’s I/O ports to output high and low levels, thus achieving the lighting and extinguishing of the LED.

3. Comprehensive Experiments

After mastering the basic experimental skills, comprehensive experimental projects were conducted, such as the design of a simple digital clock. Trainees needed to comprehensively apply knowledge of timers, interrupts, and seven-segment displays, writing programs to implement the clock’s timing, display, and adjustment functions, enhancing their system design and module integration abilities.

3. Training Outcomes

1. Trainees systematically mastered the theoretical knowledge of microcontrollers, from hardware structure to working principles, and to the application of programming languages, building a comprehensive knowledge system.

2. In terms of experimental operations, trainees progressed from being unfamiliar with the development environment to proficiently setting it up, and then being able to independently complete various experimental projects, significantly enhancing their programming and hardware operation skills.

4. Summary

This microcontroller association training activity has achieved certain results, with members showing significant improvement in microcontroller knowledge and skills. The spirit of teamwork and communication atmosphere have also been strengthened, providing better learning and growth opportunities for association members, and cultivating more outstanding talents to promote the application of microcontroller technology in more fields.
